Judging from initial reviews, we may need to wait awhile for ryzen to be an all rounder with good value...
How is the temp with stock coolers? I guess is runs cool enough since not much ppl comments on tht. *only read reviews here* |

QUOTE(AMDAthlon @ Apr 12 2017, 09:30 AM) Review are already up. What i can sum up is R5 1500x is basically 10% slower than i7-7700k at half the price. But on par/better than the Core i5 counterparts. Dont forget R5 is unlocked cpus compared to certain i5 which is locked QUOTE(seichirosano @ Apr 12 2017, 10:44 AM) Wow.. I haven't been checking out cpu prices, but wow.. 7700k rm2.5k? |

I noticed even with the so call 3 years once tax relief for complete pc, still a lot of ppl prefer to upgrade by parts.
I guess it's cheaper in long run. Items like psu/casing reuse |

QUOTE(Someonesim @ May 13 2017, 06:27 PM) Finally have time to tweak my new Ryzen 7 system. Spend one week plus to download games, also addicted to Nier Automata Clarken axe62 bro! Ryzen 7 1700 G.Skill TridentZ RGB 3200 Asrock X370 Killer SLI Today updated BIOS, then proceed to test my DDR4 sticks, sadly only can reach 2400. Failed with XMP enabled, increased to 1.375V, SOC voltage to 1.2V ( tried dangerous 1.22V also failed ) CPU overclock also another failure. 4GHz enter Windows, run OCCT few minutes and temperature shoot to 80 degree and auto shut down already. Tried different combination of 3.8GHz 3.7GHz 3.6GHz and different voltage all same, differences are time required to reach 80 degree. 3.4GHz and 3.2GHz stable, but I dont like the temperature, 60-70 degree. Wraith Spire RGB tak boleh tahan 😂 |

QUOTE(goldfries @ Aug 7 2017, 12:09 AM) FE models, Zotac AMP models, and ASUS Strix or whatever models are 2-PCIE cards that can do 4 just fine, though it'll get roasty. i guess there is zilch msian tech reviewers tht gets the ripper package eh?That's why 4 card users often just settle with water blocks. |
