Tempting to upgrade my current i5 3570k to Ryzen.

As for gaming at 1080p resolution, will there be a cpu bottleneck for R7 1700 + GTX 1080? AFAIK, 1080p will be mostly cpu bottleneck due to GTX 1080 pushing more framerates than cpu can handle. But Ryzen have 8cores/16 threads.
I need some otai2 to explain more about this.

My aim is to push as many fps as I can get with my next build for 144Hz @ 1080p resolution.

Hello guys. Im going to get R7 1700 + MSi B350 Tomahawk. Now only left which ram to choose. Does 3200mhz ram really matters? Im going to use this rig for gaming and heavy multitasking (VMwares)

Finally bought my first ever AMD processor! Upgraded from i5 3570k.
I can't wait to test it once my build is completed
