Nvidia Chipset has had performance of leading heroes all the time on AMD
platform, this time after AMD launch the AM2 socket CPU, Nvidia also
introduce the relevant chipset at once too.
The most high end chipset is nF590 SLI that support EPP technology and
dual PCI-E X16 SLI that are most powerful chipset in AMD platform nowadays.

Begin from K8 754 nF3, until K8 939 nF4 later on the LANParty series are
always the pride of DFI.
DFI LANParty series are overclocking pioneer among many mobo makers.

The user already can purchase the high-end AM2 product "LANParty UT NF590
SLI-M2R " on the famous e-tailer a few days ago , I believe it will not
disappoint with DFI overclocking fans.

To be frank ...This pattern of packing is used for a very long time.

Though own competitiveness of the products is strong, but change a new
style or more beautiful pattern may contribute to products marketing

Check right of the mobo, the digital PWM design that take ahead PC industrial.

This kind of design mostly appeared in Sever grade system in the past that
provide steady power no matter overclocking or not all the time.

There are extra SIL 3132 chips in the middle, offer two SATAII devices, the
whole mobo SATAII devices are up to eight

LAN Party series motherboard recently.

Nvidia only authorizes EPP technology to Corsair at present,
The feature must SLI ready memory certification ( EPP ) and NF590 present at the same time.

Support EPP memory ---> Corsair TWIN2X2048-6400C3

DFI NF590 SLI-M2R have advantage of SLI Ready memory, large-scale copper
cooler, 5 phase digital PWM , 8 SATAII and the Japan made capacitor ,
Does DFI still be the winner in the overclocking campaign through above mention advantage feature?
(Let us check it on next BIOS and overclocking benchmark review.)

Heard there's a Intel Conroe version of this board coming out... when's it due any idea?

Seems that traditionally DFI is sided towards AMD's processors. Would there be any compatibility issues if they have a Intel processor based board?

EDIT: Massive cooler....I see u don't dare to put the board upright....laugh.gif

Certainly BIOS is the advantage that DFI has been in a leading position all
the time in OC ability , let us preview the LANParty UT NF590 SLI-M2R BIOS

this board is not as overclockable as sompared to intelchipset MB.

the nForce chipset seems to have reached its limit
I beleve a new chipset is needed.

nF590 proprietary EPP ( SLI-Ready Memory ) setting item .
The SLI-Ready memory item can be enable if the DRAM supports EPP ( SLI-Ready memory.)

DFI exclusive function ---> CMOS Reloaded which can save four groups of BIOS setting parameters.

High DRAM bus overclocking rate is top criteria for One excellent
overclocking mobo except the extensive one with the voltage and
frequently.

DDRII 800 CL3 3-3-9 1T memory bandwidth

user posted image

DDRII 800 CL3 3-3-9 1T is steady.
Memory working voltage is 1.93V( Bios set to 2.13V)

user posted image

Memory performance : DDRII 1162 CL4 4-4-4 2T .
The CPU almost reach limit itself . ( VDIMM 2.17V : BIOS set on 2.29V)

user posted image

DDRII 1178 CL4 4-4-4 2T memory bandwidth

user posted image

What is the limitation ?
DDRII 1005 CL3 3-3-4 2T is reached!

user posted image

SmartGuardian seem show lower voltage than BIOS.
It is quite quiet due to use large-scale copper cooler and control default
rotates speed around 2500 RPM .
Nvidia chipset is well know with high temperature but the actual temperature
still can be control under 55 degrees
DFI implement smart fan control , the fan speed can be adjust between 0 to
6500 RPM

Prove to be DFI LANParty series overclocking blood lineage , It 's different
grade with other AM2 mobo that are used before .
Except DDRII voltage up to 3V can use, The DRAM overclocking can be
easy be achieve with more tight timing and more lower voltage.

To be continue ... 3D performance and EPP technology

wassap bro

this beast is really superb duperb in oc potential and performance. but, the first bios got problem in temp/voltage sensors, reading and something else. have to flash to new ver bios so it should helps in given accurate temp/voltage reading. with this probs, its really makes ockers pissed off bcoz they dunno exactly/accurate their temp. i had flashed to the new 1 but the temp still same reading with the previous 1

btw, can u post some temp screenshot from smartguardian, coretemp and smartfan?? mine is 52C idle with stock voltage. damn high rite??
