already bought the phone on last sunday. until now not yet download any apps . when bought that time, salesman already helped create 1 account using my name with microsoft outlook and keep asking to download at least 1 app asap. what will happen if i not yet download any apps till today.

i thought many users bought Lumia 530 during Malaysian Day promotion. but still there are not many spam this thread. this prove that windows phone rarely have problem. most of us satisfy with the smoothness of this phone.

Good phone with Price tag for USD 70. Good for outdoor use aside from taking photos.

not good in direct sunlight even in high brightness

Have my very first Lumia phone today, the Lumia 535 no longer bear Nokia brand.

The phone is still very Nokia feel, even is carry brand name of Microsoft.

I love the cyan color casing and the xmas package offer which come with SP, Memory Card, Power Bank.

To me is value buy, even specs is consider dated compare to android.

Damn....was browsing through lelong and only saw orange & black colour available

Cyan is already out of stock

How long does usually it takes to restock? Was thinking to get this phone as my secondary phone

Tried a few 535 demo units and all of them have low screen sensitivity. I had to hold my finger firmly, especially when using Wordflow to enter words.

Seems like Ars Technica has noticed this problem as well:

The one sticking point I had was not with the image, but rather with touch. While it was generally fine, on a few occasions the screen was slow and imprecise when responding to touch inputs, requiring multiple stabs at the screen to make something happen. This wasn't a consistent issue by any means, but I've seen similar reports from others testing the phone, so I don't think it's an issue unique to my test handset.

535 owner reporting in.dual sim xmas package.black.actually i bought it for my dad as he wants an upgrade from the classical nokia oldman series.

how the screen sensitivity?? is it ok?

to be honest, its just like what they mentioned. i need to touch 3 times for an "OK" button on the screen. I dun mind as it maybe due to the screen protector im using on a gorilla glass. its a phone for my dad, he wont need it for games though.

if u wanna use it as a primary, i wont recommend it too much.

*ps: i let go a redmi 1s to get this lumia 535.

hey guys just bought this phone (535) replacing my old lumia 800 (screen broke for the second time)

loving the user experience on windows 8.1 OS..really good improvement from 7.8..

though the camera isn't as nice as the 800 (3 years old phone!) and the screen sensitivity is a bit off..

but it is really worth the money for a smartphone..dual sim too..

good built quality as expected and looking forward for the next phone from microsoft..

redmi got bug.u google then u know.lumia so far v stable.i will go for lumia windows if u dun mind non-android hp.furthermore im looking into hp that are have long batt life..android confirm eat batt..then others will be just ios or windows.price wise,windows. im sceptical with Mi phones..i was in beijing for 6months and i know how Mi is in that country. its like certain ppl who really fancy about the brand,not the spec offered.

Do anyone having problem using the backspace button? Sometime when i use it, it will type v or p instead of backspacing

my screen sensitivity issue improve after I installed the screen protector provided in the xmas gift pack LOL

i think the original screen is too sensitive and really a fingerprint magnet..that is why the touch sensitivity become haywire..

Bought it at the Nokia Store in KLCC. Bought the christmas package, the one with the 16GB given..

Another Lumia 535 user reporting here, so far the phone experience is okay. Have not experienced any of the touchscreen issues perhaps due to the already Denim update.

However, accidental presses are more likely because of the keyboard/buttons positioning.

I'm on Maxis and i'm having issues with Mobile Data connectivity. Can't seem to get Mobile Data to work, even after a factory reset.

Anyone experienced same issues?

Yes i have, on auto Internet APN it didn't work. I've tried Manual APN also still has issues. But i do see the H letter at the top left hand corner.

Yeah i figured that it shouldn't need any setup actually. I've tried multiple options as well. Short of another Telco sim card and Factory Reset via Lumia Recovery Tool.

I've tried even the *100#7*2*1 and all that to request for settings, but from Maxis there is no Lumia "setup" in their database. They said it could be my simcard, but this sim has worked on many devices prior.

If i may ask which Telco are you on?

I'm trying a format via Lumia Recovery Tool just to try all my options.

Have they fixed the touch screen issue with the 535? I'm reading conflicting answers on several forums. Some say it's fixed others say it's not.

ya..... i did not use the lumia camera app.

my style is

outdoor =just play with white balance and iso

indoor = iso + white balance + exposure

low light or poor light environment = iso + exposure + spot focus/manual focus

Malaysia has the dual SIM version and no the touchscreen issue is not fixed yet. I know because I use 535.

the phone is practically unusable when being charged using direct power socket. I wont bother to use the phone and the touchscreen is almost unresponsive.

When charged via USB on PC - its okay.

The swipe keyboard is a pain in the bontot!!!! I suspect this is related to touch also.

Now my sister requested for me to get the CNY package - I also scare to get lol

If she complains I die!

But then if I buy now will only give her in April. Hopefully a fix will be available by then.

Its upsetting considering how stable and flawless my Lumia 610 is still is!

so far i noticed the ghost touch is gone but the phone still cant register more than 2 touches at once

yup just confirmed it

the accidental touch is not an issue anymore

however the multitouch problem still persist
