If they increase interest rate. GDP will drop 20%.
GDP drop means less business opportunities, it will lead to high unemployment and will cause bad economic downturn.

If it increase the rate, vice versa there got pros and cons but before that look into China. Some information bolster China wanna get their hands into gold price.

Well, to the best of my knowledge it didn't happened last time because during the last OPEC meeting on the oil price drop , Saudi Arabia doesn't agree with everyone in the OPEC to cut back on the production. They wanted to keep the production rate and let the price fall to drive the shale oil producers out of business.

I believe that oil and gold having the opposite effect. As gold goes up oil will come down. But recently it is not following this trend anymore..
