QUOTE(prophetjul @ Aug 26 2015, 03:35 PM) grams are so small denomination The tiny 1g gold bar (~1cm) has a market value of RM189.44 per piece. If gold double its price from now due to whatever reason, it would cost RM380. How many people has the money to buy 5g /10g /100g at that time? If u r holding 5g / 10g / 100g, would u able to liquidate easily during tat time? Some may argue 1g has high premium. But the fact is u would b able to get back the premium when u sold it later.... Tat's the reason I buy or trade gold bars which r not more than 5g. Mostly 25pcs ×1g in a complete sheet. Cheers.

QUOTE(sinbad2k @ Aug 27 2015, 11:49 AM) Not bashing you or discouraging others from buying 1g gold, but if the situation deteriorated to the extent of "not many people could afford to buy 5g/10g/100g" (such as hyperinflation, which is not likely now), I don't think those who has enough money at that time would even buy 1g from you. They would have use the $ for their own survival. If it really happens, 1g would only be handy in buying daily goods, not parking the bulk of your $$. But then, people could also be using silver instead at that time as the value can be smaller. For those doomsday preppers, keeping gold in variety of weight is a better strategy. Thx for offering a different view which I agreed v u on "doomsday" context. However, I was explaining on gold only doubling its price (due to spot or exchange rate or both, so it is still far from doomsday (which people r preaching on 5x the current price)....

Guys, my supplier won't restock Pamp multigram anymore. So, I just sapu 40 pcs this morning from him and I am letting go 25 pcs n keeping others... Act fast while stock last. Months ago, I used to hc cheap source for silver but not many people grab the oppoopportunity tat time. Now many asking... too bad. Hope u won't missed the chance for gold bars now.....
I started my precious metals journey in Lowyat Forum. Bought high price from big sellers like BSM / Silver Street / etc.... then learn my way of importing.... if I got cheaper n reliable source I will share.... but these opportunities do not come often.

QUOTE(neonikson1 @ Sep 12 2015, 12:56 PM) I think the same few years ago until i stocked up 10kg bars of silver and regretted it. They are so bloody heavy!!!! Now i only go for gold bars. Silver only go for bullion like Lunars and Pandas for collection. +++++ Let me correct myself, i do think silver is still potential to give higher return than gold, but just don't buy physical silver because it is hard to store. You can go for silver ETF or i-silver account. Wow, u mean 1 x 10kg or 10 x 1kg? I would prefer 330 × 1oz silver bars...
