Oh ok... about losing one's shirt...the thing about retailers is they usually buy at the peak, and using the money they will need for something else. You can see it during COVID when EPF allowed withdrawal, some took it out to buy gold.

Gold prices can be very volatile and 40-50% drop from current high prices is very normal. The spread in buying gold in Malaysia isn't very good and retailers ended up losing their shirts in one of the most rational investment in 2025.
