$2327, RM355.
The pressure on Fed to cut rates by June isn't going away. Middle east tensions may escalate anytime. $2600 by yr end isn't far fetched anymore. On the other hand, we watch how the subsidy removal thingy will play out later in the year. With imminent inflation resulting from that, u know where the RM will head to. |

QUOTE(prophetjul @ Apr 1 2024, 03:03 PM) yr forecast is too low. QUOTE Gold Price Forecast – Major Breakout & New Bull Market Confirmed By: AG Thorson Published: Apr 5, 2024, 13:51 UTC Key Points: Gold is in the beginning stages of a new bull market that should last into the 2030s. The last breakout of this magnitude was in 2005, which triggered a 6-year bull run. By 2030, we see gold hitting our longer-term price target between $8000 to $10,000. https://www.fxempire.com/forecasts/article/...nfirmed-1421377 |

interesting:
QUOTE Costco selling as much as $200 million in gold bars monthly, Wells Fargo estimates Costco is selling 1-ounce bars made of nearly pure 24-karat gold. While the price is not disclosed online to nonmembers, it’s estimated that the product generally sells for about 2% above the spot price, which as of Tuesday morning was around $2,357 an ounce. That would put the price at Costco just more than $2,400. https://www.cnbc.com/2024/04/09/costco-sell...-estimates.html |

QUOTE(frankliew @ Apr 12 2024, 01:32 PM) First rate cut hasn't even happened yet. Maybe time to buy more!Last Wednesday, the sticky consumer inflation data pushed markets to reduce their expectations on the magnitude and timing of the Fed's interest rate cuts. The majority of analysts adjusted their forecasts for the initial rate cut, moving it from June to September, and revised their outlook for the year to anticipate two reductions instead of three. Meanwhile, the ECB held interest rates at a record high but signaled it could start cutting as early as June. |

QUOTE(prophetjul @ Apr 12 2024, 04:25 PM) are u young enough to live another 20 years? if yes, it should be rm100,000 per oz in 2044. if u have 50 oz, that wud hv cost u rm50k in 2002, now worth rm500k, will be worth rm5mil in 2044. more or less. really, keeping gold does not make u rich but preserves yr wealth v well. whether chicken rice, car or house, the price is almost the same in mg, g or kg of gold over long periods of time like 20, 40 yrs. i m sure u agree. gold spot price has come down from peak $2400/oz or rm370/g to 2367/365.
it is likely gold price will soften in the immediate future barring other development. so, if u wanna buy, there may come good opportunities soon. wanna sell, anytime la... since profits sudah dapat. it's all peaceful n quiet. so, gold takes a correction.
there r many forecasts around. the most common one is that it will retreat to $2320 in the next day or 2. or maybe it will bounce around current 233x for a week or 2. i m prepared to see it go below 2300. becos that means a buying opportunity! longer term, i still see it crossing $2450 by year end. RM... maybe 4.99 if the next budget 2025 is more of the same as 2024. gudluk to all! |
