can probably sell now if you're comfortable with the profit you've made. when the price dive down later, you can buy again.

Bought some at RM163-167 / g around 2011 / 2012. Prices have been so low in last few years. Wonder what to do with it now that prices have just got back to slightly higher than my buying price.

if the reason you bought last time is to make a quick profit, then better sell it off now. or wait till some time after next week. else, just keep it for the time being.

When gold price rise, those hope to rise more will end up hoarding gold.

for example,
if I buy from poh kong gold bar, I can only sell back to poh kong?
buy from tomei, I can only sell back to tomei?
buy from maybank (kijang), I can only sell back to maybank?
buy from UOB (what ever gold bullion), I can only sell back to UOB?

You can sell to whoever you want to. no restrictions as long as the buyer willing to buy. but better check the spread and other T&C 1st before agree to sell.

not sure with buysilvermalaysia, but public gold will buy whatever gold you have. it takes 1 working day before they bank in the money into your account.

You can try Ar-Rahnu, though I haven't actually sold any to them. I reckon all gold jewellery shops accepts all kind of gold but most probably you'll be low-balled. I think BuySilverMalaysia probably will low-ball you too. Not sure if they'll accept Kijang Emas. UOB will only buyback with the "cert" they issue when you buy from them. Same goes for MBB.

if sell back the item that they hv which is in the spread list, then should be following the spread price, right?
