if you want to burn songs, get a good grade cdr /cdrw, something from mitsubishi (originals) or taiyo yuden.

then when u burn your songs, burn at speeds below 8x prefferably. AFAIK, burning at lower speeds will give better burn impressions on the dye compraed to burning at fast speeds, thus the lens of the disc does not need to power up too much to read it. this reduces strain on the laser/lens
