New worklogggggggggggg.

Hehehe, just a week's rest after Hypoglossal, here we go again with a new log. This Coolermaster Cavalier was a brand spanking new case modded with disastrous results hence the 911 call I received, to gif it sum cardio pulmonary recuscitation. laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif Let's start by looking at the monumental task I haf at hand. This case is mangled n I mean totally mangled in a HUGE way. I almost cried when I saw this case. It's been tru hell n back.

Awaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay we gooooooooo with the pix. The following pictures show the way it looks when I received it yesterday.

Here's the overall look. Not bad eh? Can't really c the torture it's been tru.

The top blowhole, look at it carefully. Notice the fan has been configured the wrong way? It's sucking in air. Top blowholes r meant for exhaust. The hole is also badly cut.

Now it's beginning to look gruesome. Look at the cuts! Panel's all dented.

External acrylic bulging out from the panel.

The window was cut right up to the mounting rails of the panel. Massive damage to the rails as well.

View of the damaged rails from behind.

Overall look of the back of side panel. Lotsa glue marks on the back, probably from attempts to glue acrylic to the inside.

user posted image

user posted image

Rear mounting section of panel was damaged as well.

user posted image

Lotsa damage to the chassis too. sweat.gif sweat.gif sweat.gif

Top right corner of chassis has been cut tru as well. Most likely from cutting the side panel while on the case itself.

Top left corner of chassis has been cut tru as well. doh.gif doh.gif doh.gif

Rear rail on the chassis has been bent back. Probably to try n force the side panel with acrylic on the inside to go on. Coz the panel with acrylic on inside makes the panel a lot thicker n it just wont go on so force the rail back a bit hoping that it'll fit.

Bad idea trying to force the side panel on with acrylic on the inside. Look how it's distorted the chassis now. There's a really weird cut in the middle. I'm not sure if it was cut by accident or it just split from all that bending n forcing. That rear rail is all distorted now. Even worse than the bottom rail.

Now to the insides. UV CCFL is hanging in the middle of nowhere n lopsided.

user posted image

UV CCFL is mounted with a bunch of masking tape!!! rclxub.gif rclxub.gif

Wire management is using masking tape as well. doh.gif doh.gif doh.gif All the wires r taped to the chassis like this.

Well................................that's how bad it's been mangled up. Haf no fear though. I WILL fix it up real good with sum intensive care in the ICU. laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif BUT the sun has risen n Dracula now needs to go to bed. I shall wake up later n get down to sorting this disaster out.

OMG shocking.gif shocking.gif . I might be wrong but I think that's the same case modded by another forumer for a fellow forumer for a FEE...who also posted a worklog not long ago. You guys can go compare...not many worklogs with the acrylic on the outside tongue.gif

OK I posted before I finish looking at the pics...now I just want to voice my mind. People with no skills at all should not have advertise modding services in the garage sales area. The damage that was done to the casing is just criminal. The so called modder should not have charged for what he has done but instead should have replaced the whole casing for the owner.
