u just have to remember, this is never intended to be short term investment.

it's a 3 - 5 yr investment and u need to study market trend. exit when you make at least 80% of your capital. and pray that you can sell before unit split.
*
Yea. Correct.
And bout the unit split, I am quite surprise. Doesn't it bring harm to current investor?

Nope. Existing investor's value invested does not change after a unit split. You may now own more units initially but the total value is still the same. Companies do unit split or bonus/rights issue or others of similar nature is to attract new investors to buy into the fund given that the NAV is now more affordable.

Given how aggressive ASNB has been in promoting their variable priced products and how that portion of their business has grown hugely this past year, it's only normal practice that they do this.

Personally, there are 2 scenarios when it's good to buy into funds which already have track record in terms of income distribution as I'm not a fan of buying funds when they're initially launched even if they're cheap which is; when there's discount offered on the ISC and when unit split or bonus issue is done.
*
I see. Based on your point, is true that good business=unit spitting to allow new investor to buy at affordable price. Hmm. Glad to see that coming.

only the SC has GST, am i right?

that means for RM 100k purchase, a 5% SC = RM 5,000

6% GST from RM 5,000 SC = RM 300

so total SC + GST = RM 5,300 ?
*
Walao.... how cover if really like that.

I see. Only on the SC.

Then RM 1 billion volume per day at KLSE = RM300*10000=RM3 million /day.

1 year = RM660 million GST tax revenue for the govt. Still a lot of money,

....

Whhyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy. So expensive.

It has been a year now since I started my ASX lesson here.

Happy with the additional units I managed to get though at times it can be very frustrating and disappointing. My consolation is to think of the additional 60/365 = 16 cts/day I will get for the rest of my life for every RM1000 units! Ha.

To myself and those who have not given up yet, work for a better and more rewarding & successful strikes in the 12 months ahead! Ha.

Cheerio.

Actually I do against the online system. Lately, Malaysia are toooooooo vulnerable to cyber crime. Yes, even cimb clicks is very common to 'unauthorized ' transaction.'

NAV may drops. But if you keep for say 5 years, won't you be able to cover back and drop NAV price?
*
It will. But U know people want fast money and yes, the way they convey information is wrong.

Is there an up-to-date long term chart for ASG and where can I find it? Couldn't find it at ASNB's website.

Only have the dividend pay out. But the lowest and highest NAV only have last 3 yrs. As well as income distribution.
