Those beyer XP series are truly abominations. AFAIK, not any single pair even last for a year.
Beyerdynamic Custom One Pro or Audio Technica M50x nod.gif

agreed, less than 6 months after i bought it, left phone died. Fortunately can claim for warranty. Now, my XP2 are totally unusable, waiting for my Havi to arrive, should be in few days...

so that u know what kind of iem i like,i give some opinion on those i owned:

-Shure SE215 : average bass.spot on mid. average high

-Meelectronics A151: average bass and mid. too much high

-UE700: spot on bass and mid. too little high

-UM2: too little bass. average mid. too much high

-AT CKS55: too much bass, average mid, too little high

so im looking something like se215,but with a tad more bass.

and im seriously avoiding anything that have high like A151 or um2

From your preference and in my opinion, you should audition see if you like the Dunu-DN1000 and ATH-CKR9.

hi.thank you for ur suggestion

i went to e1 store and sungei wang just now,

tried the yamaha,dunu 900 something (sorry,dont remember tongue.gif) and ath im50

and i really impressed with im50.really hit my sweet spot

ample bass, forward vocal. sort of compact, not as airy as yamaha

the full bodied sound and impact really remind me of my beloved ue700

also tried im70,but its abit...bright?.the high abit too much.

today session sort of confirm that im probably more into the "masses that love beats" group rather than "true audiophile connoisseur" biggrin.gif

just cant live without some dose of bass while listening to music

FAD heaven 2 is very far from the IM50 doh.gif
IM50 has unique tuning since it has different driver architecture design, "dual symphonic driver". Thus, it is rarely you can find a similar sounding IEM.

JVC HA-FXT90? It's very good at its own class. It's pretty fun sounding with slight U shaped sound, thick and punchy bass, crisp and slightly bright treble with clear and forward midrange.
Some others worth mentioning in your budget, ATH-IM70, ATH-CKR9, JVC-FX750, Dunu DN1000.

I think we share the same sound preference. I appreciate detail analytical sound. But if it lacks bass I can't really fully appreciate it. That's why currently my fav IEM is Havi pro 1 + added bass in EQ tongue.gif biggrin.gif

Btw my IM50 is on the way... hope it will impress me

wah.happy to found a comrade cuz i think peope like us abit rare

usually u get 2 groups who "bass=all" or the analytical bunch

i want forward vocal, details and good separation, but some bass to sort of "smoothed" up the sound.

detail earphone tend to have lots of high which to me,abit harsh.

how much is Havi pro 1?

what else do u have? smile.gif

would like to know

Havi I think MSRP around RM250+- Not sure I bought last time from LMUE with discount around RM170+-

Other IEM I can recommend is Vsonic GR02BE that is still my all time evergreen fav. So much that I'm thinking to get another pair... coz the cable got thorn a bit... or maybe recable is better option... hmm.gif

Anyway my I limit budget to RM200 per IEM. If you set higher budget maybe got better option

Indeed, it's better if you can audition them personally.
It's pretty hard to filter down them to pros and cons here, but you google up for the information/reviews, they are abundant. smile.gif

Had just receive my DN900 today. The sound is really solid. Good bass, just enough of it. The vocal is very clear.
