Watsapp her this morning asked her how many times I need to go for this n my gum still got pus.  She said that the infection of my tooth is quite bad when she first saw me. She is trying to keep keeping my tooth clean as I wanted to keep my tooth whereas Dr HOw told her again n again that no point to keep my tooth.

REally cant cure?????

She said even if I go elsewhere they will ask me to extract the toot n wouldn't even bother to do the root canal n told me tat if got cases of toothache don't wait too long if not its hard to save the tooth.  REally cant cure???

Hi guys i would like to know is this normal or is there is a problem. When my mouth in resting position i notice that my teeths at back top & lower teeth are touching together when my mouth is close? Normal or there something wrong??

During a visit to my dentist to clean my teeth, she found a couple of holes in my teeth.

Asking me to come back in 2 weeks to fill the holes, she gave me 3 choices of fillings - amalgam, composite and polymer. She cautioned me that amalgam contains mercury while composite contains BPA. She also said that polymer is a new filling that arrived in Malaysia last year and she does not have much experience with it. Another customer is waiting, so I didn't have the chance to discuss further with her.

Information about amalgam and composite are widely available online, but I can't find anything about polymer. Could you please share what you know about the pro and cons of polymer filling, whether there's any toxic ingredients in it, and maybe it's full/scientific name?

Between composite and polymer, which one will you recommend?

We do have 1 Malaysian who invented and patented 'SILVERFILL- The world's first and only silver amalgam with no excess mercury'. 

There was another dentist that mentioned that some clinics do not properly sterilize their equipment especially the equipment used for scaling. Both his and your reply makes me afraid of going to a dental clinic.

Is there any precaution that patients can take while choosing a dental clinic and dentist?

Do established private hospitals or laboratories offering dental services have better or proper sterilization?

Lastly, do you have any recommendation in the Klang Valley?

hi doc, I got one teeth that is dark in colour, why is it?

Recently I noticed a pimple-like abscess right above the gum of my root-canal-treated and crowned tooth. Back then this tooth surgery was done 10 years ago, in my secondary school age.

After I visited a dental clinic in Ipoh for checking, the dentist said that my previous treated root canal has infected with bacteria and it's causing the inflammation (the abscess).

He implies that no dentist in Ipoh is capable in performing the treatment (drilling the crown, cleaning the bacteria and sealing back with medicine).

And this surgery can only be done in KL and its price is RM2,000, which way too much for me to afford. Finally he recommended me to look for Dr. Saw too.

Is there any government-clinic or specialist can offer such skill and treatment in an affordable price? I really appreciate your sharing. TQ

Yes crown is mandatory because tooth usually becomes brittle/fragile after some time.
