I was tested on both variant which is 1.3E MT & 1.6P AT. 
too be honest, everything is quite well for me.  Fake stitching, interior seat, space and NVH.  But it's still disappointed on the transmission of the CVT, is still damn noisy as i was facing before on my current car saga flx se 1.6(A). Even proton state that the transmission are been improve as previous was CVT 2 now is CVT 2+ . But.... no difference for me.
But these still have some good part done by proton. 
As the 1.3L MT, While start the car with the door close is feel noless feeling vibration and noise from the engine. A point that was surprise me was while turn on the aircond, mostly you will listen there have a loud radiator sound from inside for previous proton.. but for Iriz, no more annoying sound of engine, radiator . Is worth for the money,while trying to cruising for 100km/h, the road noise, wind noise is still can be accepted. This time proton is really done a great jobs for this proton car.
In safety wise, yes . These have a ESC ,ABS,EBD,as standard equiment on all variants.
For my choice, i rather to take the Manual transmission instead of Auto CVT. because of the CVT noises.

Hmm, it's still feel fair .
The throttle response is really obviously been improve. 
And we can't Don't even need what from the 1.3L engine.
As the fuel consumption ,is really well managing on the good side.  As per litre can get 13++.

done my 1st 1k km service just now.. actually 859km after one week..
cant wait till 1k km because need to go to melaka tomorrow..
all the mechanics came and surrounded my car.. their 1st iriz maybe..
they even need to call proton just to set my next service reminder in that multi-info screen..

i complaint about 'tak tak' sound when i hit a bump or potholes..
rupanya..  just the back seat back rest latch not properly secured after i open it to remove the plastic cover..
hehe..

The only think bother me is the rear wiper.. It for my wife n as our second car..

Any 1.3 manual owners can share their fuel consumption so far?

I'm hearing vibration sound coming from the dashboard on my left. Seems to be coming from the aircond frame or its inside compartment. I know this is proton but my Iriz is only 2 weeks old, really? Plan to have it checked this Friday. What else should I do? Any of you experiencing the same issue? Anyway, Saw from other car forum, even Vios is having similar problem.

On another note, I noticed there this rusty part on the engine. It is the steel area where the exhaust manifold is attached to the engine (welded). I have officially complained to protoncare and they responded requiring further details. It has been 3 working days since I replied to their request. Any comment guys?

Is the compressor noise heard from inside the car? I tested the compressor sound in the demo car and couldn't hear anything or or feel any vibration from inside the car 

help! I just sent service for 1k. They use PETRONAS Mach 5 mineral oil. Then I asked when is the next service, 5k or 10k. The mechanics there all not sure for Iriz, the supervisor said check at the meter panel setting for next service. I checked and it shows 10k for next service, and the supervisor said follow that 10k. Is this true?! Mineral oil is supposedly to last for 5k only.  What if I missed the 5k service and entire warranty will void thereafter?

afaik,pre pro car isnt for mass sale,unless there r special discount n for staff if they want car fast. the showroom shudnt sell pre pro car for normal customer.

L mode only for prolong hill climbing such genting or really steep hills or u when to go fast n furious. but mind u,it will only stick at lower ratio pulley,u wont get top speed by doing so.

mineral is good for 10k km,actually can go 15k. but recommended 10k or 6 month due to oil filter n its being tested. no need to scare cuz prtn will be liable if anything happened to the engine within 5 years. as long u r servicing with them,n follow service schedule,u will be fine.

since the engine internal being rework,so its diff from ori campro. people want cheaper maintenance than ori campro,so that what they do. but if u want to use synthetic or fully,its up to you.

dont expect superb response even after tcu update. it was tune for better fc than prev,hence the final ratio being differ. but i dont have the number,u can refer to ur manual. it does feel slow,but its not that slow. the previous has sat setting,interm of feeling,sat is good,but if u compare the how fast the speed raising,its totally diff. ask ur friend to drive side by side using normal at 1.5 or 1.6 na car,upshift every gear at 2k rpm,n u drive iriz at 2k rpm n compare,then u get what i mean.

its not superfast,just normal as other car same category when drive normally.

The first year I got my Avanza, I use mineral oil and the Toyota SC schedule subsequent service every 10K. Iriz should have no issue with mineral oil too if that is what Proton is recommending.

i think it ok to use mineral up to 10k.. provided that the engine is design for that..

like motorcycle.. the same grade engine oil 10-30w mineral oil only can last up to 2k km ..the property of the EO is already gone...

I think u need to recalibrate your smartphone app. Idling at 70dB is very bad actually (more so for a BMW)..  Usually B segment cars can easily record 46-50dB with aircon blower set at low setting.

The picanto/suria was quiet.. experienced driving it before. Iriz manual feels quiet as well, but did not record the noise during test drive (agent always talk). Anybody here owned manual Iriz can share the noise output using your smartphone?

iriz dont have sat function. save cost cuz no need sat module,rarely used bfore prev setup for cvt2 in flx n preve iafm+ has this. step auto trans(sat).

mr assholer, how high u normally rev before upshift?

i would like to ask... when u turn on ur front wiper, then u engage to 'R'.. will ur rear wiper turn on automatically?

is it a feature or a defect?
