I'm getting kinda suspicious of forumers commenting on the "good" price for the iscalper units. Cute.

QUOTE(toughnut @ Sep 29 2014, 11:09 AM) Got my phone yesterday and I think this 6+ deserve my 10 mins to write her a short review. I had been using iOS since iPhone 5, a convert from Android. Previously was using a so-called behemoth, Dell Streak 5" which I believe is mother of all phablet. hows the battery life compared to ip5 in terms of usage/standby. and real life usage as in when u plug out in the morning, how long till it reaches 0%.Pros: 1. Display. Large 1080p with excellent color and viewing angle. 3rd party apps look bad but I believed will look good once updated. Youtube, Whatsapp, FB messenger, Pulse, etc, PLEASE UPDATE ASAP I'M BEGGING YOU 2. Endurance. 8 hours screen on usage no issue, can easily stretch to 10 hours. Beat the crap out of 5/5s even with huge display the size of 5/5s body itself. 3. Design. Ergonomic wise, curved body provides better grip due to higher contact surface compared to previous boxy design. Sure doesnt look as good as previous gen but I prefer ergonomic over aesthetic. Curved edge also improved usability and comfort compared to 5/5s. 4. Weight. Weight distributed quite evenly and doesnt feel significantly heavier compared to 5/5s in pants. Did make my hand feel cramped during single hand operation though. Need to lift more. 5. iSight. OIS and focus pixel seem quite effective but no noticeable gain in sufficient lighting. 6. Loud speaker. Not stereo but good enough. Really loud and doesnt distort at maximum volume. 7. Space grey 6+ look awesome naked. Agree? Cons: 1. Protruding camera. For those going commando, this is bad. Like having a hard-on at nude beach. 2. Heat. Warm up a bit even during browsing. In some sense, actually good meant heat dissipate fast but not good for comfort. 3. No gain in OS. iOS 8 does not fully utilized the big display yet, no big advantage over smaller sibling 6/5s/5. No dual windows multitasking etc. Everything just look bigger, that's it. 4. Apps compatibility. Most apps not updated yet and look like designed for people with bad eyesight. Everything scaled up and nasty. 5. Aggressive noise reduction. Fixable via update but at the moment seem like Apple going Sony way of NR, turning noise into blotchy watercolor painting. Booooo 6. Taking picture with 6+ feel awkward. I guess need to get use to it. 7. Single handed operation. Possible but dangerous. But phablet not really designed for single handed usage anyway so dont whine. |
