Hi guys. Been using Streamyx 4mbps for about 1 month now. But suddenly got problem..my note 3 couldnt connect to the streamyx. Other laptops and devices easily connect. Set up a wifi hotspot from the other device, the note 3 connects well. It just wont connect to the streamyx. Everytime i need to insert the wifi password, it connected, after 2 seconds, disconnected..help!

Guys..noob q here. If i want to change router from the given one, how do i set it up for streamyx? just connect the wires?

With specific reference to my low speed problem in post #505, during the course of my 3rd or 4th complaint to TM this month, my download speed went up to around 3.6mbps for about 10 minutes before the line died again. I do not know if that 25% allowance is really the parameters of what TM determines to be an acceptable connect. Was the tech support guy really correct in saying that? I have no idea. Maybe they have to mention that 25% allowance because some accounts are located further from the cabinet or poor/old copper makes for higher signal attenuation.

All I can say is that Kaiserreich's explanation in post #521 makes good sense, and in post#523 I had mentioned that the tech guy told me he would get me a 5meg port just before he left my house for the 3rd time. This was after I had showed him my modem's DSL stats which showed that my line was only at slightly above 2000kbps.

I'm definitely not a networking expert...am just a normal user. All I can suggest is that you call 100 and tell them your DSL stats and see what they say. Hopefully you can be allocated a 5 meg port too.

lol my TM default router broke today because of the lightning..no choice but bought the TP-Link router as the replacement..

keep disconnected from streamyx once every 5-10 minutes lately..speed also very slow. check on ookla not even up to 1mbps..ffs

asked tm on twitter, same answer, restart modem bla bla

forgot my router password/username lol any other way to check?

anyway, i tried change my splitter after my homephone isnt working, turn out the disconnection problem vanished but speed is still so so

this is the 2nd time actually..first time was around january. they sent technician too
