anyone experiencing internet lost? My package is 4Mbps a month but what I get is only 1Mbps

Hey guys, i want to ask something about the Streamyx Legacy Package,

Recently i noticed that my bill have weird calculation,

Streamyx Home 1.0M RM71
Pakej RM10
Butir Lengkap Panggilan RM 1.00
Sewa Talian Telefon RM25.00

Total: With GST and other etc, total is RM119.96
I was shocked as my Package is basicly just a TM Streamyx Blcokbuster 1Mbps (RM110), and even expensive than that, so whats the point of still using the Legacy package?

Is it normal or TM just decide to charge me line rental fee so its same pricing as Blockbuster deal...? 

My line only support 2Mbps...and the pricing is the only way to stop me from upgrading to 2Mbps, coz RM71 to RM130...
But now i know that legacy package still need to pay extra, might upgrade soon......

No Unifi coverage is such depressing

Asus router also have same function like the xiaomi. You can install it's app to control the modem, in addition for controlling from it's IP. You can also configure to access the modem from other IP (when you not connected to the wifi), access by website or by the app. You can also reboot the modem from app or website.

Also can set upload/download limit by each device. Can monitor the internet speed. Can setup ftp and samba. Parental controls, wifi block by mac. It also have USB port to connect hard drive which you can use it's download manager for direct download and torrent. Which then can be stream to other device, or even over the internet.

wait for Budget end of this month. Hopefully many good news for us

If I'm a Streamyx user who paying so much to the money sucker company, this is exactly what I will do as what you said on this post.

According to the T&C of this Streamyx Bonanza Campaign promotion (as of 7 Nov 2017), it lasts until 31 December 2017 only, meaning that you won't be able to enjoy this offer from 1 Jan 2018 onwards.
But who knows, TM may extend promo period to anytime they like... Just like how TM keep on extending webe's RM79/month plan over and over again, saying that "promo last till ___, this is your last chance to grab this offer", bla bla bla... as if this is their tactic to attract customers to aware about the plans and to quickly subscribe to the new Streamyx plans.

So guys, don't be skeptical until you think like "yer... i have to pay the original price from 25th month onwards, i don't wan liao... why this TM liddat one...."

Ok let say now you take 8Mbps RM89/month plan, this is what will happen, according to the T&C of the Streamyx's promo now (7 Nov 2017).

	During 24 months contract	After contract, 25th month onwards (if no more promo price)
Speed	8Mbps	8Mbps
Price	RM89 + 6% GST = RM94.35/month	RM160 + 6% GST = RM169.60/month
Price x 24 months	RM2264.40	RM4077.60
Difference		+RM1813.20

Cannot tahan to pay that kind of money, feeling want to downgrade to cheapest 1Mbps plan?
Or you choose not to do anything now and maintain your existing Streamyx 1Mbps plan? Fine.

Speed	8Mbps	Downgrade/maintain to 1Mbps
Price	RM89 + 6% GST = RM94.35/month	RM110 + 6% GST = RM116.60 (non-promo price)

Still, you eventually still saved a lot of money in the long run. Imagine how much money you've saved in this 2 years.
I know many of you guys think "I want to enjoy this offer price forever." Duh, who doesn't want that? I want to enjoy that kind of offer also. But in this situation, you got to be grateful for how much you can save and enjoy as much as you can. And who knows TM introduces might new introduce affordable Streamyx plans again like this Bonaza promo after your 24 months contract ended? 2 years is a long way to go, and the things can change in this 2 years...

Let say now, 2 years has passed, it's now 1 Jan 2020, what if TM being stingy and doesn't offer Streamyx promo back in end-2017 anymore? Either you downgrade back to whatever Streamyx speed/price plan that you used to enjoy/pay before you upgrade to the Streamyx plans back in 2 years ago (end-2017), OR go for Unifi if it's available in your area by then, OR find other internet plans solutions such as unlimited wireless broadband similar to the plans offered in 2017, like the Digi Infinite 150 plan or webe's RM79/month plan.

Hope my advise somewhat helps you to decide a wise choice, for now.

Now you paying how much for your 8mb?

yesterday when I triggered my modem router setting, I found that the download rate in modem status changed to 10mbps.
I quickly checked my account at unifi.com, wow, free upgrade from 4mbps to 8mbps..

today receive tm telemarking,
offer rm129 for unifi 10mbps 2yr contract,
and she say next year "confirm" free upgrade to 100mbps,
is it worth it?

How many of you are still using streamyx? My hometown was using streamyx 4mbps for the past few years then finally installed Unifi 100mbps at yesterday.
