Thanks again. I though we on Streamyx also get free upgrade, sadly no.

Anyone remember when Streamyx is introduced? As I recall before Streamyx there are ISDN and Dial-Up.

Free upgrade for Streamyx user is highly unlikely. So we should not expect it.

Obviously TM and even the government wanted us to move to better and faster infrastructure. Giving free upgrade to Streamyx user just make us the Streamyx user stay longer on this old infrastructure.

Possibly, they could offer cheaper/discounted upgrade price for Streamyx user who wanted to switch to Unifi.

Telekom Malaysia is doing R&D on increasing the speed of internet on copper cables. TM is doing research and testing on VDSL2 Vectoring technology. VDSL2 Vectoring allows ISP to provide high speed internet via copper cable. It enables ISP to save cost. Do Google out to find out more.

In coming years we might see the speed for Streamyx packages increased.
