It has been like that for as long as I know. The furthest the droid lineup went is India.

Unless Lenovo tries to turn things around but I don't see it that way. Guess they're trying to work Moto the old way, why compete with their own brand in Asia....??
*
Though I agreed it has very slim chance to reach us, but FYI this is no Droid line, but Moto Maxx. We used to have similar situation where Droid spec phones sold here ( in Malaysia ) as another name ( ie RAZR MAXX ), but given recent Motorola phones not vastly available here, this Moto Maxx that's targeted Latin America might not reach here.

No I have different thinking this because of "Moto" Branding.

Moto X, Moto G, Moto E all make it to Brightstar Malaysia, even the Moto 360. If you ever notice, all Moto branding are for Market outside of US.

Not just us, even you do some research on Brightstar HongKong, they have the same products like us.

So put you high hope and faith in "Moto" Brand will come to Malaysia.
*
Nice for you to have faith, I'm more of "If they come, good; if they ditch us, meh". Still remember original Moto X reached Malaysia after 8 months doh.gif

Ok. Look for other phone sad.gif

I'll say Lenovo is stupid if they try to merge their craptastic product with Motorola product.
Only advantage of Lenovo devices are the price compared to other devices. Their software & services are pretty bad. They still sell devices with Android 2.3 which I have no idea how they managed to pass CTS.

When Google took over Motorola they were in pretty deep shit. Too many products and the Moto Blur doh.gif ...
Motorola under Google made an excellent turnaround. IMO they are in good path to be financially stable. Lenovo is inheriting Moto in good position. Whether they can produce another think IBM PC division-like success story it'll be up to them.
*
They arent that stupid I think. Both Lenovo and Motorola brand had been successful at entry level phone, but at different market/region. Lenovo will need Motorola's brand effort and relationship to enter western market ( especially US where carrier rules )

Lenovo couldn't have bought Motorola at a better time. Just hope they can give all the support Motorola needs and not impede their way of developing products, or they will risk another crisis, similar to the one post-RAZR.
*
Just leave Motorola independent ( as what they claim will be ), else fall like Nokia we will cry. Now have to wait 18 months so that Nokia ( the one not under Microsoft ) could come back with Nokia brand smartphone that we deserved.

If ever Nokia come back to business with Android, I gonna buy it lol
*
Wait for it, rumored Nokia are planning for comeback on high end smartphone, their best bet will be Meego ( if they able to revive it ) or Android ( possible now without Microsux interference ). They just need to wait 18 months ( agreement with Microsoft was Nokia brand will be under Microsoft for 18 months )

Moto X vs. Droid Turbo: Which one's right for you?

Some practical guidance on two of the year's most interesting phones -- based on weeks of living with them and comparing them side by side.

I'd pick Moto X any day if it had 3900 mAh
*
Half of any random phones with 3900mAh would be half awesome already laugh.gif

Try to buy honor 6 and nexus 6 and use it for a week. You will feel the same.

Try to buy note4 and honor 6, the experience is different because of the stylus.

Try Droid turbo and nexus 6 for another week, the Moto feature will surely give more user experience.

Hard to explain in words, you need to experience it yourself
*
No sure you ever used Nexus before. It's nothing you felt on other Android phones unless you flash AOSP ROM, even though you do that it might be buggy and thus not as good as Nexus. It's a weird feeling you must experienced by live under Nexus.

I am avoiding to become a fanboy but 90% of android user dont root their phone.

Without root, nexus is just another typical made in china phone. Yes the spec is great but the user experience is still the same.

I miss my s-pen in note3. The user experience let me draw, sketch and design my creativity that is not available in other android

The moto x give me another user experience to control smartphone without touch. Now i am going to buy google glass to complete the experience
*
And a smoothness and no-bullshit phone isnt an user experience ? I will say no further as you never truly experience Nexus before, it might sounds fanboy-ish but I have friends that buy Nexus as normal Android phone and they all praised that smoothness and no-bullshit experience.

"Because nexus is a nexus" << fanboy

"Because apple is apple maaaa" << fanboy

You are fanatic fanboy.
*
I'm gonna stop entertaining you after this, when I'm talking about smoothness and no-bullshit, you said fanboyism. Which other phones have the same barebone Android as Nexus ? Hence why in terms of ultimate no-bullshit, one may only refer to Nexus.

It's a lollipop feature. From androidcentral forum

"It is to indicate if you set "priority notifications" in the do not disturb mode. You can access this menu when you press the volume button."
*
Lollipop does have Star icon in priority mode.
