Lol, now cooling king changed to Daikin d.
No more York coz China took over from Daikin.
Not sure current York still good or not.

Not ex-york rite?
Coz last time Daikin bought York and now York been taken by China company.
My new Daikin works fine je. Real chill and very low noise... Best to install at bedroom.

The current Daikin models all have the iplasma feature d. It's quite common feature in current air cond.
I bet your old daikin must be the old model.

I have personally used these brands York, Daikin, Panasonic, Electrolux, Mitsubishi, Toshiba, Hitachi.

Pana & Toshiba - quickly will give you mechanical, mysterious problems, etc.... Just avoid these companies don't know how to make aircon. Sorry.

Electrolux - after you switch on the fan will come on. Cool air will come after 30-40mins what is wrong with you guys. I bought aircon not fan.

Mitsubishi - always the favorite becoz low-power consumption, easytoclean, econo-cool mode, but features not enough. MrSlim model = Mr not-enough-features.
The last inverter aircon I bought in 2017 gave problems in the first week!
1) Louver motion is restricted to very small angle by default - stand below aircon cannot feel the cool air, what??!
2) Louver vane is stubborn - if you set to SWING mode after 30mins/1hr it will suddenly change to AUTO mode on its own and move to horizontal fixed position, ignore you & the remote control!
3) If you change louver vane setting from AUTO to SWING mode it will switch off the aircon for a few seconds. OMG why who created this feature. The AUTO swing mode is actually "fixed position setting", useless. I can choose manual swing mode myself no need to use auto.

York and Daikin - Always the coldest room if you see these two brands. Always.

Hitachi - I only experience with this one time. Very cold, so that's good smile.gif
