mitsubishi heavy industries vs daikin. 1/2 PK low watt 320 watt. MBI 5kbhp vs daikin 4.6k bhp. Daikin is slightly cheaper by rm 100.

don't tell me mitsu electric, I prefer MBI than mitsu electric. Heard Daikin is very good and reliable.

Daikin vs york
Silent/noise = both same
Power consumption = comparable
Cooling at same setting = YORK
Service after sales = same
Reliable and long lasting = YORK

My old house even got one 20+ years york still kicking good and more colder than any samsung/korean airconds on market

I thinking to buy 2nd hand aircond. Found 1 at cheras, any brand 1HP @RM580 including installation but i believe that is old-model aircond and i afraid my electricty bill will increase. Is that worth it ? or should i topup a bit and find another one that have save energy system ? thanks.

my current house use 2 daikin (inverter and non inverter). both really working nice and no issue.
got 1 york(non inverter for my middle room - small room). super fast cool and quiet compare to both daikin.

i also have 1 panasonic inverter at my other house. after a year the compressor become super noisy. this one more expensive then the other 3.

so do buy daikin or york. york better. say no to panasonic. regret it.

My aircond hardly used during day only at night and only 2 units.

Inverter not recommended by most installers citing reliability and high cost of repair and servicing.

Please advise on my aircond sizing plan

1) GF Hall - 2.0 Hp (5m x 5.6m)

2) GF Study Room - 1.5 Hp (4.2m x 3.1m)

3) FF Guest Room - 1.5 Hp (4.9m x 3.8m)

4) FF Family Hall - 3.0 Hp Ceiling Cassette

5) FF Dining - 3.0 Hp Ceiling Cassette

6) SF Masterbedroom Wardrobe - 1.5 Hp (3.8m x 3.8m)

7) SF Masterbedroom - 2.5 Hp (6m x 5.6m)

8) SF Prayer Room - 1.5 Hp (4.2m x 3.1m)

9) SF Bedroom Small - 1.5 Hp (3.7m x 4.2m)

10 SF Bedroom Big - 2.0 Hp (5.1m x 3.8m)

For first floor (~4m x ~15m), the family hall, dining and dry kitchen will share two 3 Hp Ceiling type aircond (item 4 & item 5).

Floor height is roughly 10'. Please advise on my sizing selection.

I would suggest dont buy LG. Would suggest either Daikin or Acson. So far I am using Daikin for 3 years and no problem at all. I only on the aircon during night time and I do maintenance service every 1.5years. So far no issue and quite reliable.

You know Mitsubishi Heavy Industries have a special position in your heart, you just get it.

I personally use Mitsubishi Heavy Industries AC, nothing to shout about.
It's not a quiet unit. So so durability.
Will I get MHI again? No. I'd pick the ones with quietest operation.

My vote goes to Daikin, been using the Daikin inverter premium series 1.5hp for few months. So far so good, vry effective in cooling and pretty quite though. There are still many more functions, but I lazy to mention. lol

Inverter in our country is waste of time , because our humidity and temp so hot, if you set 20 degrees , the inverter just goes to full output to meet the cooling demand , same a regular non inverter aircond

And inverter for special piping and Shit

i used mitsubishi heavy industries 2.0hp in my living room for the past 4 years ok ja?

well, sometimes the compressor gave some loud noise but not too long, and most importantly, my living room is as cold as the freezer.

i don't use both daikin and mitsu so can't comment..currently used two units from Hitachi..one more less than 6 years (non inverter)..so far very good..silent outdoor unit and energy saver..the recent one got inverter..silent outdoor unit..but the downside the price quite expensive from the two brands mentioned..but nevertheless i'm very satisifed.

if i had to choose between mitsu and daikin..i prefer daikin wink.gif

TS, tumpang thread bole ?

I thinking to buy 2nd hand aircond. Found 1 at cheras, any brand 1HP @RM580 including installation but i believe that is old-model aircond and i afraid my electricty bill will increase. Is that worth it ? or should i topup a bit and find another one that have save energy system ? thanks.

I am using both brand now of my 2 different bed room

DO NOT CHOOSE Mitsu, it is damn sucks, not cold + function as what you imagine, called service center and get technician came and check, they found nth, show them by pressing the aircond remote, they said normal jerr, i am damn regret to buy it, planning to throw away n get another brand but NO Mitsu

Dakin ok, quiet nd smooth, i like it

Both i bought same price RM999 include GST + installation

My Daikin inverter from 5 yrs ago is the best. Inverter but use normal gas and copper tube. So far no problem. New daikin now is rebranded york. Chose mitsubishi inverter now 1HP inverter only rm1245.00.

Daikin if you want higher efficiency and lower noise levels. Their indoor units don't have issues with excessive noise or buffeting.

MHI if you want long term reliability. We used them to cool switchrooms on every major LNG project in the tropics and they're the standard for industrial HVAC.

mitsubishi heavy industries vs daikin. 1/2 PK low watt 320 watt. MBI 5kbhp vs daikin 4.6k bhp. Daikin is slightly cheaper by rm 100.

don't tell me mitsu electric, I prefer MBI than mitsu electric. Heard Daikin is very good and reliable.

Daikin bought York so they are good.

Mitsu instead are easier to do maintenance on your own, so you only call for service when you want to isi gas or disassemble the whole unit to pieces. otherwise the normal service you can do on your own as the inside blades can be taken out easily.

I used york 2nd hand before for 6 years without problem. But the electricity is high with normal 12 hours usage daily set at 25 degree.

Daikin vs york
Silent/noise = both same
Power consumption = comparable
Cooling at same setting = YORK
Service after sales = same
Reliable and long lasting = YORK

My old house even got one 20+ years york still kicking good and more colder than any samsung/korean airconds on market

I thought daikin bought york.

TS, I think you should consider the maintenance, of cost of parts instead of wattage..

I have personally used these brands York, Daikin, Panasonic, Electrolux, Mitsubishi, Toshiba, Hitachi.

Pana & Toshiba - quickly will give you mechanical, mysterious problems, etc.... Just avoid these companies don't know how to make aircon. Sorry.

Electrolux - after you switch on the fan will come on. Cool air will come after 30-40mins what is wrong with you guys. I bought aircon not fan.

Mitsubishi - always the favorite becoz low-power consumption, easytoclean, econo-cool mode, but features not enough. MrSlim model = Mr not-enough-features.
The last inverter aircon I bought in 2017 gave problems in the first week!
1) Louver motion is restricted to very small angle by default - stand below aircon cannot feel the cool air, what??!
2) Louver vane is stubborn - if you set to SWING mode after 30mins/1hr it will suddenly change to AUTO mode on its own and move to horizontal fixed position, ignore you & the remote control!
3) If you change louver vane setting from AUTO to SWING mode it will switch off the aircon for a few seconds. OMG why who created this feature. The AUTO swing mode is actually "fixed position setting", useless. I can choose manual swing mode myself no need to use auto.

York and Daikin - Always the coldest room if you see these two brands. Always.

Hitachi - I only experience with this one time. Very cold, so that's good smile.gif
