A little clarification on the new M6:
  • The (2) set bonus no longer gives you +500 DEX
  • The (4) set bonus does not auto-fire your Hatred spenders. Only when you cast Hatred spenders, the Sentries will cast as well.
  • The (6) bonus only applies to your character's fired attacks, not the Sentries
  • Your Sentries now fire as far as two screen's length away. This would also mean the (6) bonus take into account Sentries that far and are within range to give you the (6) effect per Sentry.

Guys

will our old Nat set be retrofitted to the new 6 piece bonus?
*
New Nat's set would look like this:

QUOTE
(2) Set Bonus
+250 Dexterity
+10 Max Discipline

(3) Set Bonus
+7.0% Critical Hit Chance
+10 Max Discipline

(4) Set Bonus
The cooldown of Rain of Vengeance is reduced by 1 second every time you cast a primary skill and by 2 seconds every time you cast a Hatred spender

(6) Set Bonus
Rain of Vengeance deals 800% increased damage

non ancient ok ah.. icon_idea.gif

It's okay, but crafting an ancient 1h-xbow deals way more damage than a non-ancient calamity for solo play and group play (I've tested).

All keywardens can drop more than 1 key. It was a change added to 1 of the patches.

Dude, I'm saying that an ancient crafted 1h-xbow that you can craft from the blacksmith has more offensive power than a non-ancient calamity. It's not that I'm downsizing you as I was also using a calamity back then but realised that a generic ancient 1h-xbow rolled higher damage and stats that makes up for its legendary power as a fact. Again, kudos on finding one, but why are you taking offense on something like this? Calm yo effin' tits man.

EDIT: Here's a screenshot of my Calamity (not the first one I found) and despite it being -22% damage, my Hallowed Condemnation performs better than the Calamity.

too bad tomorrow got gta5... have to stop d3 again lol.  brows.gif

Wouldn't you be resource starved though? Is your Strafe your main skill?

Damn, I miss the days in PTR when K'mir Tenclip's legendary was no resource cost for Strafe ...

Hmm, last I checked, Patch 2.2 went live on the 7th of April, and PTR was on the 25th of February.

Time travel looks like a possibility guys, let's all head to the past/future!

I always think Nat set is useless after M6 come out, I never been so wrong...
*
That's because Nat's was given a revamp recently. The full Nat set (4-piece) was weaker than M6 in every way, but now the revamp set (6-piece), it's comparable. But I still prefer M6 for burst damage instead of DoT.

I just started to play DH again on season 3, my old DH has been abandoned due to lack of gears, since vanilla and after ROS release.

Therefore, the change of item set and skills really confuses me.

Is there any place where I can go to, to follow the items and skills?

Or any profiles I can refer to would be nice as well.

Just gotten 2 piece UE set (head+chest), with Nat Slayer, and RORG (bad roll), am only able to farm T1 comfortably.

Do I need Krider to advance further, or should I stick with Nat Slayer?
*
You'd have to tell us exactly when you quit so we could tell you exactly what changed.

Basically, best sets for:

Solo play (up to T6, normal rifts):
Nat's or M6

Group play (up to T6):
Nat's, UE or M6

Solo play (Grifts):
UE or M6

Group play (Grifts):
Nat's, UE or M6

Core items for sets:

Nat's:
any parts + Nat's Slayer (+20 to 25% bonus to RoV) + [option 1: Pride's Fall] or [option 2: Hexing Pants]

M6:
[option 1: full set + Focus & Restraint] or [option 2: RoRG + 5 parts + 1 item of choice] + Bombardier's Rucksack

UE:
any parts + Chest piece (rolled with at least 10 Disc) + [option 1: Kridershot] or [option 2: Seething Spines of Hatred] <---- note: UE's damage is based on Disc, so fill every slot with Max Discipline rolled on that item. So far; cloaks, off-hand, all bows/xbows/1h-xbows, certain rings only rolls Max Discipline.

While results may vary and some might consider experimenting beyond these recommendations, these are the more friendly/common sets used for these situations.

Ah yes, the revamped DML as well. That would work too (but I hate using MS lol).

I actually found it easier to do high grifts with the new Nat set.

For G31 and below and T6 rifts, I gear my UE DH for speed run using Danetta's. Preferably Lightning build because it uses less resource.

For G40 and below, I gear my UE DH with Kridershot & Holy Point Shot with Cold. Easier to proc Bane of Trapped.

For G55 and below, I use Nat set with Icy Trail Cold build or with Anathema Fire build. Both is great, self preference. Icy Trail Cold build use Nat xbow + Calamity. Currently top DH G59 was achieved with Anathema Fire build with Nat xbow + Balefire Caster.

For G56 and above, I use UE DH with Kridershot + Meticulous Bolt and stack as much CDR and IAS as possible.
*
1. Group play vs Solo play are two additional variants on top of just Bounties, T1 - T6 rifts and Greater Rifts and thus, different sets would work/complement the given situations differently.
2. The suggestions I placed are gathered from General Discussions, Demon Hunter, self test in PTR and on live to produce said information.
3. Like my disclaimer, results may vary depending on situations (e.g. monster spawns, map layout, etc.)

Currently I have 5 UE and a Dead Man Legacy. Haven't equipped them yet as I have yet to find the last piece, gloves, or RORG, to have the UE6 bonus.

I noticed that the damage difference between what I am wearing now (hybrid M3, Nat2, UE2: Damage 1mil) - I am getting average 3mil crit damage, whereas from utube video demonstrating player on UE6, with Damage 1.5mil, can deal up to 120mil per multishot.

Is the bonus of the UE6 really that significant due to the multiplier, or am I missing something here?
*
There are other factors to consider aside from just the UE bonus for damage multiplier.

Remember, sheet DPS alone doesn't tell you everything about your effective DPS (effective DPS is the actual amount of damage you can deal per second). Other factors such as +% Elemental Damage will boost the damage (multiplicatively), so does +% Increased [Skill] Damage as well.

S6 Impale is not a spamming-type build. You have to align mobs in a way that every strike you make hits more than 1 target, every single time. Swap to Richochet rune (if you're not already using it) to keep your Hatred up.

That is a point of reference for a UE6 MS build, which I build it for speed GR runs (comfortably finishes a GR85 at an average of 4 minutes). Optional changes are as follow:

Bracers
Nemesis Bracers: for more Elite spawns (DB farming or higher GR pushing)
Wraps of Clarity: for defensiveness (higher GR pushing)

Belt
Hunter's Wrath: for faster attack speed/Hatred generation/Discipline generation (any situation)

Jewelries
Endless Walk Set (Compass Rose Ring + Traveler's Pledge Amulet): for more defensiveness (GR pushing)
* Pair any other ring with it e.g. Convention of Elements

Kanai's Slots
Visage of Gunes: for defensiveness (higher GR pushing)
