i was browsing the thread and saw some issues on the notification bar malfunction issue
just sharing my case on z3c
i face the same issue on the top area notification bar malfunction as well after i update to the firmware of x.x.x.238 around oct 2015
since the phone still under warranty, i sent the phone to butterworth sony service center at megamall and they informed that for z series phone they need to send to KL for repair as they dont have the equipment to test
at first i was quoted need to wait for 2 weeks for replacement.
after a week, did a call to them n check on the status, i was informed that they need to replace the lcd, digitizer and the house casing, however there are not stocks on the casing spare parts and i need to wait for total 2 months...
well since under warranty and i got no other choice.. i can only wait for it..
on first week of november i called again asking to expedite the case and they updated me that stock can arrive eariler and i can get back my phone in total waiting time of 5 weeks..
after 5 weeks, i finally get back my phone.. it's like totally a new phone on a new casing with front and back panel sticked with protection label

and i noticed that the
firmware of the phone has been rolled back to 2 versions before that
i got enough of using sony phone after this haha
Hmph...probably it is the firmware that broke the hardware? Find it too co-incidence that so many Z3 and Z3C facing the same problem within the same period of time.
I had sent mine via SEMS and they told me the same thing. Need to send to KL to repair and wait minimum two weeks.
At the same time, I got two colleagues using Sony (Z1 and Z3C). Both just broke down last week due to other issues. 3 out of 3 Sony are broken. 100% record.
