The volume is ok for me. How loud you are expecting? What was your previous phone?

Battery wise give it a full day. Make sure u decrease the brightness, turn to 3G if you notice LTE reception is not that good. Keep searching for a strong LTE signal will drain your battery.

BTW, did you encounter any wifi dropping?

Hmm... Can't quite believe that Sony actually does not allow the option to assign specific ringtone for a contact group. @raymondtong94, can I ask for your help to feedback this to the relevant people to bring back such simple function?

That's pretty standard for my Z2. I saw in Z2's thread, some can achieve screen on time >6hrs.
For me, I didn't play game. Mostly streaming YouTube and websurfing.

I think Z3 able to achieve much better than this.

this issue have never been solved since Z. so i assume its a permanent decision by Sony. nevertheless, i will still collect this feedback.

The speaker volume is not as loud as normal phones as Sony need to seal the speakers for waterproofing function.

thanks for the feedback guys. My battery now is 32% discharging, on screen>time one is 5hrs 35 mins.
screen takes 67% battery, android system 6%, cell stand by 6%, android OS 6%, rest are 2%. I notice wifi also only at 2%, so i guess no harm keep the LTE switched on all the time. Or is LTE classified under cell stand by which is 6%, then that could mean quite significant.

Oh, no wonder volume is low, due to muffled speakers for water proof. Makes sense. But i notice even when i connect with earphones or output to speakers, the volume is still low. I need to find some volume boost app, or maybe just video player like VLC in computer that can boost video volumes above 100%.

Been playing around with the smart watch 2. Haha, ok, fun little thing. But encountered one problem which when I went online seems taht others ppl facing same problem but nobody knows how to fix. The Z3 came preinstalled with many apps already. One of them is the sony football challenge. This app will appear in the smartwatch 2 when synced. However, when I tried to go in my Z3 apps, I could not find the sony football challenge app to uninstall. Anyone knows how to do this?

Also, there's one guy earlier in the forum bought a mymosh case for Z3. Where to get it? I am now only using a cheapo silicon case from lowyat.

Seriously u didn't try turning on clearaudio+?? It boosts volume significantly... And makes it sound as loud as s5 or g3

I did turn on clear audio. Speakers wise I think smartphone volume are about the same. But the audio jack output volume of Z3 is really low compared to my previous Iphone 4. I use the audio jack output alot when I am driving. I will just connect the phone to my car audio using the 3.5mm audio jack and I can barely hear anything through my car speakers.

I did try connect it to earphones and yeah, it works, loud enough, but the max settings is not as loud as what my Iphone can do.

Hey guys, I just tried the Z3 and Z3C in SenQ. I realise the viewfinder is a significantly lower frame rate than previous generations of Xperias (Z2, Z1C, Z1, Z, Z Ultra and etc). I compared with the Z2 and the viewfinder frame rate is like night and day. The difference is very obvious without even needing to put them side by side. I observe the same on the demo unit at the Sony store as well.

Usually Xperia camera viewfinders are very smooth like point and shoot. The Z3's viewfinder is stuttery in comparison. Like 60fps vs 30fps.

Anyone else observe the same?

Yes that's what I noticed too... I remember playing around with z2 and was surprised by how smooth the camera viewfinder is... When I finally got my Z3 I was shocked... But I always thought it's a software issue perhaps...
