Im sure with "stamina mode" on you could achieve that. Even my Z1 Compact could do so. But then again, depends on how you use your phone.

Well, if you can wait definately wait for the Ori as warranty claims would be more legit and easier. (Thought claimed otherwise by some forummers here).

if you could get the UK set, it will be good, because the accessories are almost same with Malaysia official set, such as docking charger, smartband/smartwatch for free, and also 3 pin charger[same with Malaysia]

please avoid China set

I do hav an iphone 5, but i use it mostly as a camera, my xperia z however i love it more cause it has a bigger screen. Im not so sure there would be a z4 as sony forecast losses n blame mostly because of their mobile division which is xperia. Since. Vaio already being sold, xperia might face the same fate as well. This is sad as i m always a fan of sony product, n xperia phones have the best design overall imo. I guess i will wait for z3 first, i want to compare the design side by side with the z2.

Z3 is better than Z2, even in term of design.. but of course it is subjective matter.. watch the comparison video in youtube and you'll know why..

as for Sony Mobile, I'm sure Sony will retain it and not letting it go like the VAIO..


Sony Mobile might need to reconsider its intention to introduce flagship phone every 6 month, it s better to do it annually.

I agree. Sony couldn't possibly be ditching the mobile market. If they do, they are sending themselves to their own grave!

Short answer, yes for Z3

That's not true if you consider that they are just constantly "improving" it over the 6 months period. It still has the same build, only refined materials and edges, and a slight update on the innards. I don't think it would take a year's time to figure them out. They are running a different concept. One phone, few generations.

Sony was right all the time that a flagship phone should be updated in every 6 months period, it's just that they neglected sales volume. How can you sell something you call a flagship phone, while in the same time making sure that it will be replaced in a 6 months time? Consumers would simply skip the current generation and wait for the next generation if their phones are still functioning well at the time of release.

If you ask me how would they really get back into the game? They should make the next Nexus device. Well, just my 2 cents anyways.

Well I think Sony makes good devices in the Xperia Z series. Waterproof features, good camera, lag free ui, good battery life with stamina mode and the list goes on. Not everyone thinks highly of the Nexus or how every device should be made like it. Sorry but I never batted an eyelid on any Nexus devices before.

I had used Xperia Z n XZU ( 3g n LTE) n my only complain is its very weak phone speakers ( due to extra membrane on speakers for waterproofing). Had several bad experiences missing call in noisy environment. I discouraged those to buy if they wish to use as media entertaintment unless they don't mind using a headset or earphone with it.

Dont worry, I tested the prototype Z3. Definitely their dual stereo speakers helped a lot.

Better than z2...

That is one of the main reason I did not get a Z. The other is a shuttle button. Z1 is louder and still soft on average but is ok. Z2 is even louder than Z1 so Z3 will be better.

Sony Z2 only started to sell in malaysia end of May.

So if it is 6 mths cycle. It will arrive in end of Nov.

Of course you won't, because there aren't any worthy Nexus phone yet. When Sony is to make the next Nexus phone, say that again.

In America, the Nexus is an important device in Google's lineup. It gives you the pure Android experience.

The Nexus made by Samsung was kind of a hit back then. It then changed to LG for the last 2 generations as the manufacturer and virtually non of us Malaysians are interested in a LG products, given their poorly managed after sales services in Malaysia. Not even the telcos dare to import more Nexus devices in these days. Due to the failure of the Nexus 4 (since LG became the manufacturer for Nexus devices)

If the Nexus device would be Sony, it will be a win win situation. I'm sure Sony will bring the game to a whole new level. Imagine a Z3 running Vanilla Android, with their build quality, and water resistant properties and subsidized price RM1499 for a high end flagship phone, it would rival the iPhone or Samsung well.

In fact, I don't think Sony has any problems in the hardware department. My biggest concern is their software department. Hence, that's why I say if this two company mix together to make one device. It would a great one. Not to mention their camera performance. Sony will be the perfect canditate for the next ultimate Nexus device.

Well, just my 2 cents anyways. Take it with a pinch of salt.

If Z1 ever gets Android 5.0 then they are the best ever. The internal apps have seen lots of updates and the bug fix is great too.
