QUOTE(apisfires @ Sep 4 2014, 10:30 PM) My battery 19%, the phone will auto off.Probably related to that bulging problem. Didn't expect it to happen this soon. If it happened later, parts would be easily available and I can replace it. Look at mi3 battery, RM50 can get for replacement. Now don't know what to do with this bulging. Definitely won't send this back myself. Too costly. |

QUOTE(Haters_Gonna_H8 @ Sep 4 2014, 10:33 PM) have article about this zero percent batteryQUOTE Never go to zero Obviously, using your battery is going to make it degrade. But it's going to slowly die even if you just leave that iPad in the closet for a bit. There's a trick to minimizing that inevitable aging though: leave it a little bit of juice. If you're going to be shelving any lithium-ion battery for a long time, try to leave it with at least 40 percent battery power to tide it over. Lithium-ion batteries don't hemmorage power at 30 percent a month like nickel-metal-hydride batteries do; they'll lose maybe five to ten percent of their charge each month. And when lithium-ion batteries get too low—like, literally zero percent—they get seriously unstable, and dangerous to charge. To prevent explosion-type disasters if you do try to charge one, lithium-ion batteries have built-in self-destruct circuits that will disable (read: destroy) the battery for good, if it reaches rock bottom. And sure, that'll save you from a face full of battery-acid, but it'll also leave you short one battery. |

QUOTE(((Xa))0102 @ Sep 4 2014, 11:26 PM) I believe this is a case of overcharging These things are supposed to withstand 2Amps charging current. Even have VOOC support. If it is the case of overcharging, then it's a POS design. The only thing I did different was to charge with xiaomi power bank with 2.1Amps output. http://www.electronicsweekly.com/blogs/eng...wells-up-l.html Probably just bad QC on these part. These things happen. Heck, I work in QC, just not in the batteries industry. The manufacturer is pretty reputable as well. They make brand name tablet batteries, roomba batteries, phone batteries, etc. Yes, I did saw that picture where somebody's Oneplus burst into flames. Giving the benefit of doubt until I have more proof. |
