sorry, not just cache... apps data as well. need to clear that. what i understand about this issue, the calendar data gets "cached" once and does not update even after changes have been made. end up we need to force it to re-download.

fyi... this happens also on my Samsung Note 2's S Planner widget. i need to do this periodically so i can see contact birthdays that i recently updated.
