Actually Class 10 Memory Cards won't help Android device in Random reading/write speed when using any Apps.
Only useful happen when you shoot 4k Video or Copy/write file between PC to Devices using Cable.

didn't experience any over heat issue on samseng phones. slightly warm but not a big deal.

reason those were sold off quickly because cannot accept top spec phone can still lag on basic functions.

am not sure abt other brands becos spent almost rm200 on the 64gig sd card.

I have more than 2000+ picture and plenty of hd vids in my 32GB Samsung Evo microsd, and not feel any lag. Open in sec. I can browse all the photo in the gallery without any lagging or delay.

Maybe your phone is really samseng, a knock of clone of Samsung product. Our is Samsung. That's why no lag just frag. Lmao!

You said you had used Note3/s5 in your arguments
I have no experience w S5 ( just 10 mins at retail) but honestly can say Note3 doesn't lag like the way you said it
