The GAPGATE issue of this phone I feel is an overblown issue : if you had read the Note 2 manual page 139 - it is similarly stated here :
Troubleshooting
Pg 139
Another Bluetooth device is not located
• Ensure that the Bluetooth wireless feature is activated on your device.
• Ensure that the Bluetooth wireless feature is activated on the device you wish to connect
to, if necessary.
• Ensure that your device and the other Bluetooth device are within the maximum
Bluetooth range (10 m).
If the tips above do not solve the problem, contact a Samsung Service Centre.
A connection is not established when you connect the device to a
computer
• Ensure that the USB cable you are using is compatible with your device.
• Ensure that you have the proper drivers installed and updated on your computer.
• If you are a Windows XP user, ensure that you have Windows XP Service Pack 3 or higher
installed on your computer.
• Ensure that you have Samsung Kies 2.0 or Windows Media Player 10 or higher installed
on your computer.
A small gap appears around the outside of the device case
• This gap is a necessary manufacturing feature and some minor rocking or vibration of
parts may occur.
• Over time, friction between parts may cause this gap to expand slightly.

Why was these issues never raised or mentioned in Note 2 and Note 3 and suddenly being highlighted for Note 4 ?? Apparently 9.9/10 of those web reviewers were not even aware such a manufacturing feature existed already in Note 2 and Note 3 ?? So I conclude this will not be an issue at all . I had used the Note, Note2 and Note 3 before and seriously I was not even aware there was such an issue. It just take a few users to raise it and it now seems to be a big quality problem of Samsung !!!
Seriously I'd say those who're willing to pay a high price for this phone appreciate the use of the S Pen. I had 2 friends in the media business who has been a faithful supporter of the SPen since Note 1 days. They always like to demo to me what they could do with the SPen. They said the Note had greatly help them in their daily business as they were often on the road and it basically acts as a mini notebook for them. So for those who said the SPen is rubbish, useless etc I'd say probably you don't see the need of it for you. To condemn it is useless is just too childish and immature
When I was working ( now retired already ), The Note and Note2 was a great business tool for me too and I'd really appreciate it. The Note 3 SPen was a great improvement and reviews of the Note4 SPen has been great too
