Thanks

grinding noise from where?
*
From the gearbox side if i identified correctly. At first I suspected the belting, already put lilin but still happening. Happened only at cold start. If the water temp still two bar during that start, no such sound

Lidat susah mau diagnose bro. It could be the tensioner bearing, or simply because the fead belt has deteriorated much beyond lilin trick of revival. Can you atleast describe more on the "grinding noise"?

Was it something like next door renovation, the mosaic fella go chop the brick that kinda sound "EEEEEEEEEEEK" loud and rough when you're taking a noon nap, makes you wanna go punch him in the face

Was it like waifu putting chillipadi into blender "WOOOOOOT" for making good sambal when you're having soar throat?

Was it like mommy put bittergord into the juicer "WEEEEEEET" and make you drink every morning?

Was it like the sliding door punya roller sudah kering, when open time "KRRRIAAAAAANG" that makes you shiver?

Was it like FAP FAP FAP FAP FAP kinda siok sendiri sound?

Or its like PIAP PIAP PIAP PIAP PIAP kinda siok together sound?

Please follow the above format to further describe the "grinding noise" as you mentioned, so I can help to atleast understand what should I dive in to.
Calm down buddy nod.gif

it is more on the first EEEEEEKKKK sound, but very low pitch. Takde rasa nak tumbuk. Can be hear from cabin if outside silent enough.

Hmm... susah tue hmm.gif

1) Camshaft bearing x 2(mana² 1 atau dua²)
2) Tensioner bearing
3) Crankshaft bearing
4) Powah steering pump bearing
5) Alternator
6) Aircond compressor clutch
7) Water pump
8) Built in oil/transmission fluid pump assembly

It could be anyone or all of them at the same time. I really have no idea unless I get to hear it myself. Other than that, give it 1 more try, get WD40 kasi basah kan itu FEAD belt when engine is running. Just give it a point to point spray for about 3~5 seconds 1 round and that's it. Tomorrow try to observe again during cold start and let me know if the sound still persist.

wouldn't that cause potential slip? i think bro titanrev mentioned on the candle wax method
*
I did the candle wax thing already, but no improvement. Belt slipping dangerous or not.

Unker location where? Maybe can meet up tonight, i shah alam right now. But need to wait for engjne to cool down first la. Will take sometime la

Diy cabin air deodoriser. Cost only for charcoal brickets, rm9.90 for 3kg. Can do up to 6 car, depending on how much you put

Squash the charcoal, put inside tea bag paper filter

Do remember to bind a string/ribbon to the package so you can recover it when you wanted to change. Slot the bag of crushed charcoal into the receiver dryer(aircond blower/cabin filter) and you get maximum deodorizing effect nod.gif

Good luck

Nice idea unker. However, any idea when charcoal need to be replaced? Last time I use to put in chiller for like 4 years. Haha.

By the way, those tea bag easy to find ek?

davidke20 same sound still there this morning. From my observation, it comes from gearbox side, not the pulley side.

most efficient is at D for overall linear torque distribution. Put into L and the torque shift to early part; ie after 80kph basically start to diminish earlier already. SAT mode puts out a bit more hp after 140kph but after that everything san-bien.

One thinga bout SAT mode is, 6th "gear" only comes after 150kph.  laugh.gif

IINM, cruising at 65km/h at 1500rpm is on the 6th gear right. I remember last time I double confirm with gear ratio table in our booklet.

davidke20 still woranti until february next year. May need to leave the car there, since problem happens only during cold startup and less than a minute.

nope. it is either 3rd or 4th. The SAT in CVT is a bit different. Although booklet say the 3rd ratio is 1.333 and 4th ratio is 1.555 (figures are example only), that doesnt mean the ratio will stuck at 1.333 at 3rd gear. Being a CVT, it will still be a CVT and it will continuously adjust its ratio between 1.333~1.554 depending on the vehicle load and rolling surface.

Yesterday marked a history for my gaga. Hit lubang at hai speed, tayar pecah, rim bengkok. Send for ketuk rim, ketuk rm60, second hand rubber rm85, balancing rm5.

As i thought the story finished, new problem appeared. One nut couldn't be loosen. Thread kaputt. Pusing2 satu dungun looking for tyre shop. Lastly, went to ketuk body shop to melt the nut using torch, cost rm30.

Needed a new bolt, rm30, alignment rm18.

Rm 228 gone, One rim bengkoked, one rim got burnt mark.

Learnt something from tayar shop today. The alignment can be all ok, but if rubber not flat enough, car will sway to one side.

He said, try to avoid indonesian tires. Buy malaysian
