Can't brain why need take loan to buy rim. Might as well slowly save up to buy when have enough cash. At least no need to owe money, if not then just buy used rim...

No need loads of theory talk, just take your car, put in track and drive..reading can only get you until and extend...to me is get behind the wheel better.it is by no means a fast car so i guess i could still very well be in the slow car fast category although i would still think the new car can definitely go fast, if anything it's faster than what i can handle for the time being considering how i've been used to a car that's half it's horse power all the time for so many years. to be honest i only went through the first few pages and it was a lot of posts to go through and i guess i missed page 6 where all the tire talks starter |

davidke20 what richfag. =.=' for me, my mods are simple and cheap ones and many DiYs. Maybe I'm not the type that can understand much on theory or explain. I tau drive saja then observe and adapt.
Tire soft or hard sidewall for me. Soft got soft good, hard got hard good but if I have soft sidewall then can pump in more air to compensate back. This post has been edited by TitanRev: Sep 8 2014, 07:35 PM |

QUOTE(davidke20 @ Sep 8 2014, 10:21 PM) Truth is, fact needs to known = theory. Basic elemet such as soft sidewall not suitable for sprint purpose due to shape change whilst depressed by lateral force. Pump more air no doubt can compensate, but got a huge trade off, which is lessen surface contact, at the same time worry of being over pressured during hot surface that further inflate the tyre pressure. Set those all aside, when over inflated, chances of tyre steel belt tensile strength being stressed is much higher on high travelling speed during high temperature. Ok..theory and practical go hand in hand. Hence the existence of "not human ridable" hard sidewall tyre being introduced. The downside is ofcourse, all the good things of soft sidewall tyres being ripped off. |

QUOTE(IvanWong1989 @ Sep 21 2014, 03:26 PM) Hmm. Thanks guys first for replying. Frankly speaking, there's no 100% problem free car Ivan so do expect some level of problems. I'm considering both because both at my budget level. Either will go for 38k/45k saga or 45k myvi. Hopefully can be a problem free car. But I understand manufacturing sure got chance to lemon. So at least preparing myself to know which SC in penang is good. |

QUOTE(n3w @ Sep 23 2014, 08:58 PM) I made it myself from machining. It's a long stick type. I made it to clear my high tigh support on my recaro as with my short ralliart gear knob when shifting it kacau with the side support so making shifting difficult when I use the bucket seat. On normal days I'm using stock seat so I change swap back to the ralliart. The long stick shift also reduce the distance between steering so better shifting and also can shift more easily with less effort. I'm not using short shift. |

QUOTE(Quazacolt @ Sep 24 2014, 01:48 PM) yay another one thinking alike! Short shift got its advantages lesser throw. If your bucket seat side support is not high then it's ok. If its like my seat the side support is high until the end of the seat (cover 3/4 of my tigh) then you have problem with a short gear stick. Some short shift kit in Market after install makes shifting more harder coz the pivot point of the shifting rod already changed so for me if I use short shift I will make a longer gear stick to compensate back so I can shift easily with less effort.almost everyone i know who's modding shifters want it as short as possible |
