He said he heard downshift ma, SAT or L is the only way the CVT can do that.

I use SAT for instant downshift to higher RPM, or L, depending on my speed. D is generally less willing to rev compared to the other 2 mode.

EDIT: I mean during rolling acceleration, not from standstill.

Does your car vibrate when you brake hard? if not no need to change the discs

If you have never serviced your brakes before, now would be a good time to bleed your brake lines when you change your brake pads.

FLX engine subframe replacement from Proton is around RM1.9k, not including workmanship.

No idea of BLM subframe is the same.

Just now on my way back from Aeon Cheras Selatan towards Sungai Long exit, saw a wrecked silver BLM on the opposite direction. The driver side front and rear door is caved in, like it was T-boned by another vehicle.

On scene was also an assortment of polis vehicles, who is also laying down sand on the road. Hopefully no fatalities...
