Russia AFAIK also doesn't have one, Israel has the SPIKE, India has the Nagr and now the PRC has the HJ-12.

I think if the turret ring size is right I think you can install any turret you want, as long as the hull allows the weight. I think AV8 turret ring size at most can only fit a medium sized 2-man turret, I haven't seen any mention of plans installing anything heavier than a 25mm turret.

ZBL-09 started originally with ZBD-09 IFV with 30mm autocannon and later upgraded to ZBL-09 modular system with all the variants I mentioned in earlier posts.

Same with SP Artillery version, they've removed the rear ramp and left a small door. I also doubt they can fit any useful amount of infantry with large fighting compartment of that large 105mm turret taking up space in the passenger compartment.



A bit strange though, that they don't have a stabilizing system like outrigger legs or rear spade. Combined with the vehicle's relatively low weight snd wheeled drive, each shot must rock the hull significantly, causing not so optimal accuracy.

With good R&D surely can. ZBL-09 also started life a single vehicle of IFV role when it first appeared in 2008. Recent upgrade project in 2011-2012 only made the design modular into the many variants we see today. It is reported that Norinco & Poly Technologies plan to design up to 26 variants for the ZBL-09.

Nothing wrong with being ready. Tanzania is ok economically,so it's ok to have a decent armed forces. Choosing to buy PRC can also maximize acquisition, due to lower cost.

I hear also Norinco has special packages that can potentially cater to smaller countries with lower defense budgets. Chinese media has called these packages as 'military set meals'.

The system can use the same missile as the original HJ-8, or a smaller, lighter missile with shorter range. The main improvement of the system is that it has a smaller and lighter tracking system (hence the 'L' for 'Light') which reduces the overall weight of the system to 22.5kg, light enough to be carried by at least 2 men (1 carries the tracker unit & 1 carries the missile tube.

Developed for police and military use, the 4 x 4 wheeled Security Enforcement Transportation (SET) Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicle was developed by Poly Technologies Inc., a subsidiary of China Poly Group Corporation.

The SET MRAP is part of a range of MRAP vehicles developed based on technology and know-how provided to Poly Technologies by Mobile Land Systems, an armored vehicle manufacturer from South Africa.

The armored hull has been specially designed to protect its passengers from outside threats, including from explosives such as Improvised Explosive Devices (IED) or land mines. Its infrared signature has also been reduced in its design.
