Anyone ever saw MKM flying with full Air to air load? I've seen them taking of for training many times, but always clean airframe.

On a more serious note, why is Malaysian army have very limited deployments in Sabah & Sarawak? Sorry if this issue has been discussed before & I may have missed it,but IMHO Borneo Island is way more geographically linked with countries we had serious beef in the past about territorial issues (Indonesia with their North Borneo and The Philippines with their Sabah Sulu Sultanate). Aren't these states theoretically in more danger than Peninsular Malaysia? Is this the result of Malaysia simply not having the logistical means or is some part of regional geo-political deals?

Anyway, I hear that they were heading towards Pulau Layang-Layang for rotation when contact was lost about 20 nautical miles from shore. Should a CB-90 boat actually operate that far to sea (Pulau Layang-Layang)? I don't think they are seaworthy enough to make the trip.

if good weather and sea state in1～2 level is ok,
anyway cb90 is design just for assault craft send troop for mission in river, small small island , not intend for patrol used.

That's exactly what I was asking about. Is it appropriate to use the CB-90 for a trip to Pulau layang-layang, which as I heard is nearly a whole day's trip from Sepanggar?

It seems way too far out to sea for a boat of the CB-90's specifications. Also if CB-90 works ok for the trip while seas are calm, it is somewhat reckless for RMN to assume it will always be sunny & calm seas all the way.
