When your buy the phone now must get the China Unicom 4G version it support WCDMA 3G FDD 1800 and 2100 band plus TD 2600,so for 2G and 3G support all telco in Malaysia but for LTE only support part of Maxis and Celcom which is 1800 band, for 2600 band and Digi,U Mobila it can't support. The LTE speed for this phone is very fast ,I tried Maxis at Wangsa Maju can get 25m from Speed test. Pls do not get this phone other then China Unicom version because it do not support our network including 3G ,so if get this only can make voice call!

Thank god I found this thread. I've been searching extra infos before buying the phone. From what I know, yes there are 2 versions of it. Both versions has LTE mode, but the 1st model (A808T) does not support Malaysian 3G (WCDMA), only meant for China's 3G network (TD-SCDMA). Do NOT buy that model or else you'll stuck with 2G network when there is no 4G around. The A806, 2nd model, is meant for international market

Beware, there are sellers out there selling the A808T, I've been to 3 shops, they wont let me test my LTE simcard. Hehehe thank god I saw sitescope's post. Went to I-Distribution in Low Yat Plaza.

1. Look at the back, you can see spec, WCDMA written there.

2. Want to double confirm? Sumbat your LTE simcard. Normal sim size, no need to cut to mini or micro.

Bro the A806 WCDMA by China Unicom it 4G only support part of Maxis and Celcom in 1800 mhz,if U Mobile,Digi and some area which Celcom and Maxis run on 2600mhz then connot get 4G. For A808T only can make voice call and 2G data but totally cannot use data in 3G or4G!

Yea true but at least the 3G is working. Hahaha ok la jgk. But as for A808T, i have no clue, never tested the unit or check which band they support.

Hahahah I cant confirm yet on the batt statistic, but thats the best thing about android, u can customize it any way u want. Since its already rooted, I can use many advanced apps to minimize batt usage or prolong it so to speak. Greenify

This phone support otg?

Have been using this phone since last Friday. Overall, satisficed.
Very smooth and responsive probably bcz of octacore.
Like its black screen gesture very much. It is very quick response and very accurate. Almost no miss every time.
Battery consumption is OK for me.
Drawbacks:
- Camera is not so good compared to other mid-range smartphone, such as Huawei Honor 3C.
- A lot of bloatwares since it’s AP set from China.
- Whatsapp used to be force closed few times.
- Phone and Wifi signals are abit weak.
- Very less options in Developer Option in setting, unable to turn off transection & window animation.
- Known bug: unable to show full content in USSD. But Im postpaid user, so USSD is not necessary for me.

But for this reasonable price (RM 519 I bought from SatuGadget), Overal it is acceptable.

Rooted with English TWRP., removed and freeze a lot of unnecessary apps.
Tried to installed latest Xposed apps, but end up bootlooping. Solved by reflashing a new rom.
Tried to search on internet whether any Xposed version suitable for A806, found in one Chinese website saying version 2.5 is ok for A806.
Might try it tonite after work. Please wish me pass the Xposed installation.

I also got this phone from onegadget. After spending few hours searching about this phone, one user from Xda Developer forum said this phone is not Android, but using Aliyun. He noticed this upon installing Xposed. I also noticed bad english translation throughout this phone and also spelling errors. Is that normal? Apart from that USSD bug, sometimes the notification center crashed that makes me to restart the phone since it showed looping error messages. So I wondering does anyone experienced same problem?

incoming call cant recognize number in contacts if saved with +60 prefix same goes to whatsapp
SMS cant display sender name if in contact the number was saved without +60 prefix

I wanna share 3 fix for A806.

1.  Names not coming up for calls or sms

Go to Concatcs > Tap on menu > More features and settings > More display options > Matching digit numbers > 7

Set that and names will match for both calls and sms.

2. Chinese character under contacts for calls and sms

Go to Concatcs > Tap on menu > More features and settings > More display options > Location > Untick/untap those 2 options

No more Chinese character kohkoh

3. Ussd is cut half (cannot see full)

Download this file and flash it using twrp or cwm.

Anyway I went to the onegadget the next day after I bought the phone. Right when I hand it over to the technician (he even not check it yet), he said "software problem?". I was like wtf is every A806 sold on this store has that notification error? Then he flashed that phone to standard factory ROM using TWRP. After that there is no spelling error or bad english translation except that ussd bug and chinese character (Player Tutorial app lol). My advise to people who want to get this phone, right after you buy it pls take it to the service center and get it flashed

Make sure your hp is rooted. Download flashify from playstore. And flash the ussd fix zip using flashify.

been using since friday... flash custom rom from needrom...
very good phone and price too cheap for it...
waiting for tempered glass and frosted case for make it feel premium...
battery is not that great, not like a880 battery(can get more SOT)
now waiting for someone at xda make AOSP rom for this phone...

Hi, i just bought it yesterday, for my mum actually. But then, I feel regret a bit becoz she is a Samsung user before. So, im afraid lenovo ui is a bit difficult for her.

By the way, the performance is awesome. No lag at all. But there is some problem that I found so far

-difficult to monitor battery life. This phone doesnt have battery graph at settings, so need to install 3rd party apps (gsam battery monitor/battery monitor widget, but stop responding many times)

-camera is bad in low light condition.

-ussd code cannot expand (only 1 line when use *118#), so I cannot read the content. Hopefully someone have the solution.

-heated up easily when using video recording (hotter than playing subway surf)

for the new aosp rom... just install mobileuncle and twrp recovery... can sideload using twrp for flash the rom... easy no need sptool...
but read careful how to do it...
btw now using the aosp v2.0....now can use xposed with a806...

it's just me or this phone's speaker really bad.

lel...putrajaya 4G signal is like sh!t....me at presint 9(near mamak terowong) sometime get 4G(1 or 2 bar)

with this A806? what about in alamanda building? manage to get any 4G signal... ? mamak terowong? is it mamak berkembar? near present 9 food court?

never try at alamanda as im seldom go to alamanda...
mamak terowong is near the P11 terowong enterance...but im try at subang mydin, can get speed over 60Mbps on celcom LTE
btw im using celcom sim card...not try any other sim...like 2nd or 3rd say about LTE band....im using AP set so only celcom and maxis LTE i can use with my phone...

celcom need to subscibe to internet plan for auto 4G signal...
just check your sim...is it the 64k sim....
