hi bro..mm..how do I start. Ok, ya i know we have got a deal, but after thinking over, let's say the pins were bent during shipping, obviously i will be on the loosing side rite?

I don mean to call off our deal, but i really hope u'll understand, if u were in my position, u'll better off with COD than shipping a CPU rite? I don wan 2 take any risks. If it was a VGA, RAM, etc, i don mind shipping it.

well...wats the big deal? act innocent? previously during our deal...he did told me so convincing...
QUOTE
QUOTE

icic...so hw u gonna pack the proc to prevent bent pin while shippin?
ive got an empty amd cpu shield with foam. don worry ....
anyway my opinion is tat this FXXXER jz wanna sell off the item to the other buyer...COD...
but is this the responsible tat u show as an elite member? mad.gif i believe he wouldnt say like this if thr's no other ppl wan to COD wif him... rclxub.gif

well, i am trying my best to be on the fence here.

IMO, IF i were kucingfight, i wud feel much more "secured" on COD...reali....sending by post wud be my last option if i cant find anybody to COD wif me....

so, in this case, i think kucinfight is NOT entirely wrong to call off the deal....lets say in the event IF the proc rosak, sure he or u will be on the losing side. Its okla siauann. No money out = none wasted. dats my opinionla. If u dont like it, sorry.

I'd just like to point out that being an Elite member has nothing to do with being a good trader
You can have 1000 good trades and it doesnt get u an Elite tag, it was not meant to show that someone's a good trader in the first place
You cant blame the person or the system if other ppl decide to place more faith in them compared to junior members

{Off topic btw}

To be honest, it is his right whether to sell the proc to you or not.
As long as he did not take a single cent from you, he has his own right to do whatever he wants with the proc.
Of course, there are sellers who are willing to be with their words and trade as promised, they are still not in a contract to trade with you yet.
In this case, his reasoning is very sensible and i believe every trader would understand, he feels more secure COD-ing than posting the proc to the buyer.
Just take this as if someone made him a better offer on the negotiating table and you just lose out on the deal. The fact is that they other buyer is able to COD and you're not able to, that puts the other buyer in the drivers seat.
Harsh luck, but you can't really blame the seller, especially using words like that is way too harsh. Peace. smile.gif

well..i knw hes not 100% wrong...wat i wanna mention out is tat if he really thks tat its not secure for posting in the begining he wouldnt hv convince me so securely regarding the posting thg rite?..actually i was saying i wanna consider his offer 1st...after agreeing on the price he offer (a bit discount) n posting 'thing' thn we ON our deal n tats y i cancel reject other offer for the sake of his deal...
wat i wanna say is tat a good buyer would not cancel a deal tats ON regarding other buyer (any reasons)..but if the deal in stil on process thn we can say its OFF...
i believe he woulnt cancel my deal n will stil stick to postage if thy werent any buyer doin COD...rite? i jz wanna state out some irresponsibility here....

i knw he doent take a single cent frm me...but jz because of this deal i lose other offer....im not blaming him for 100% wrong...wat i wanted to state out is some dissatisfaction....
well..if he feels more secure in COD he would hv stated tat earlier b4 any deal made...
actually i would hv make the deals today but due to his reasons stating he only be able to do postage on friday......
well..like u say if other ppl make better offer....if rely on this matter thn any trades doesnt need any comfirmation rite? its jz like doin bulks seller need deposit to prevent ffk....n for some simple trades...comformation needed to prevent ffk..... wink.gif

i disagree with the both of you.

i'm on siauann's side on this case. simply because you don't CANCEL off an agreed deal just like that.

it would be better if kucingfight had earlier notified siauann, a simple message would do -

hi bro..mm..how do I start. Ok, ya i know we have got a deal, but after thinking over, let's say the pins were bent during shipping, obviously i will be on the loosing side rite?
i
if it's alright with you i'd like to call-off our deal as i find i'll better off with COD than shipping a CPU rite? I don wan 2 take any risks. If it was a VGA, RAM, etc, i don mind shipping it. but i really hope u'll understand my position, so are you ok with it?

at least with siauann's acknowledgement that it's ok to cancel. i'm sure siauann isn't that an unreasonable person.

it was a last minute thought but the cancellation should be done in a less abrupt manner - not something done at the last minute.

Yeah, i agreed with what goldfries said here...
Furthermore, the seller has already convinced siauann that he'll packed the processor in "an empty amd cpu shield with foam"
Isn't that convincing?

Sigh...
A promise is a promise... sweat.gif

Knew this was coming.

Anyways, here's my side of story.

Yes i do admit i've did some mistakes here:

1) Calling off the deal
2) Not stating that COD preffered.

Before hand, i've sent him several messages explaining that about the risk of shipping. Yes, i was wrong for calling off to the deal we had earlier, but after thinking that shipping might be a risk, i did explain everything clearly to him. Obviously, if the cpu pins were to be bent, i'll be on the loosing side, he would definitely demand for cash return. In order to avoid that, i've explain my side of story and apologising, hoping he would understand, as it will definitely all comes back to me if there is damaged done.

But i feel i did the right thing to avoid predictive problems, however, even many explanations could not convinced mr siauann. Yes, i may be on the wrong side here, but i felt it was good move to avoid any future misunderstandings.

@ Siauann,
I believed you could be more civilised in your words. I don remember my teachers said cursing was a good thing to do.

And if you wanna scrutinize every single detail out from it, talk is talk, we've only reached an agreement, and not the actual dealing itself as no cash is passed through yet.

And remember, that cpu plastic shield with foam is meant for an AMD Proc rolleyes.gif . It wasnt meant for an Intel.

Anyways, there's always risk there. Put ourselves in the worst senario that the pins would be damaged during shipping. Even then, if you really insist on this deal, sure we can carry on, but i wont be responsible should the CPU damage when it reaches ur hands.

what he did wasn't wrong in the way that he didn't take any money from u or made u wait like 1-2 hours standing in the middle of no where...
but ethically, he is wrong for cancelling the deal with u...
of course u can't blame him if he gives COD priority cause its safer to deal for both sides...
but, he still is wrong and a punishment would be to remove his safe trader tag is appropriate....

*I've dealt with kuchingfight before and had no problems what so ever.. he even made his time suit mine..
its a waste his rep rosak cause of this...

i am here not to siding anyone but i strongly agree on "A Promise Is A Promise" phrase by sHawTY, and i adhere that for my every single transactions, be it in lyn or other places. If both parties had come to an agreement on the deal, be it verbally or black & white, for me that is consider a promise, breaking promise means FFK to me. Pls dun feel offended but that is one of my principles. Cheers~

My humble opinion:

a promise is a promise smile.gif end of story....

maybe kucingfight got a better offer at the last minute, like someone offering him a higher moolah for the processor laugh.gif (who knows)

either way, IF the processor got damaged during shipment, kucingfight wouldn't be on the loosing end, but siauann coz he agrees for shipment in the first place smile.gif so that shouldnt be used as an excuse...

well, the seller sort of admit that he was sort of wrong. So, what does the potential buyer want now? apology? revoke seller account? MO list? Free mouse?

Meh , kucing was a good seller. Bought my rams from him.

BUT, i believe the "contract" is on since both agree and the buying and selling terms. So, it is just plain rude/unethical to cancel the deal like that.

siauann, hope you can get your processor soon smile.gif

i guess u didn't quite understand there. Definitely, like anyone, if the CPU reaches the other party, would u think he/she won't be asking for any refunds? only fools will think that way. And also, we didn't reach an agreement that i won't be responsible should anything happen during shipping

Alrite then, guess everything is said here.

Ok, then , we could stil proceed with the sales, but siauann, i won't bear any responsibilities should anything happens during shipping.. agree? If you agree, then we carry it on. Of course i'll pack it properly.

Whoa.... If this is the case, a promise is a promise then i'm sure there are many other threads here. Owner can do whatever they wanted as long as no cash involved yet. As i'm concerned, as a buyer you'll prepare to lose your priority in any circumstances unless your deposit or quick cash secure your place. Take it easy...
