For global fund, my personal favourite is AMOasis Global Islamic. I like it for its low volatility, higher than average risk-adjusted reward among peers.

Global fund is good for those who are not sure where to throw their money at. It is a good middle of road asset class.

ANALysts & others will try to explain stuff away - which may or may not be.
I just keep on value-averaging + if substantial lelong, lump sum. Simplistic approach

U may want to look at Brazil too if them funds hold Brazil - went south too.

Plan + consistency = perseverance (or good old hard headed doggedness ).

eh - just to clarify: TwinVest is slightly different from pure value averaging yar
TwinVest is more of VCA + DCA (and each TwinVest program has it's own built-in asset allocation).

I remembered during Apr 2013 funds across FSM also taken a hit. One of the Asia Pacific fund that I'm holding tumbled 13% before recovered back. It took 5 months for the full recovery...

Is this the good time to have a unit trust as the first investment option for a student but having a capital of 1K will it be good enough?
