Meguiars Ultimate Wash and Wax VS Meguiars Gold Class Car Wash, what's the difference? Which is better for a new car? Thanks smile.gif
*
Meguiars Ultimate Wash and Wax = Shampoo with tiny bit of wax. Poor durability
Meguiars Gold Class Car Wash = Pure shampoo

Better to use a normal shampoo then UQW after each wash

What tool do I need to wash my rims? And any shampoo to recommend for the rims? Thanks smile.gif

This is how I wash.
The 3 products in spray bottles are Sonax Wheel Cleaner Full Effect, Osren's Multi Clean 4:1 dilution, Meguiar's Super-D-Greaser 4:1 dilution.

1. Do you mean use the Meguiars Gold Class Car Wash then UQW?
2. If I wash using the shampoo every week or two week, without waxing, how would it be compared to if i wax it?
Sorry ah so many questions.
*
1. Yupp
2. For sure you will have a better looking finish & superb water repellent-cy if you can wax after each wash. Up to date, I nhave yet to finish off my wax/sealant since 2006 biggrin.gif

Wah so many tools haha. Which product to use first? What are the sequence like? Thanks for the info smile.gif

Depending on how dirty your rim is... start with the least aggressive cleaner first.

1. Car Shampoo
2. All Purpose Cleaners
3. Degreasers
4. Acid Based cleaners

For my weekly wash, I normally use Osren's Multi Clean (10:1) or Meguiar's Safe Degreaser (4:1) (discontinued) or Valet Pro Bilberry Wheel Cleaner 5:1

@douglas_tong, any recommendation for a DA polisher?

Meg's DA is selling for 2.5k @ Motormad sad.gif

Otherwise, I was only thinking of going the Meg's DA Power System (the plug to drill setup).

The Osren's Ultramate DA is a good machine to start with. Priced around RM700/800

Don't think so unless they are having the some promotion or event tie-up with the specific car club.

Anybody knows what is the best method to clean the those LC polishing/waxing pads? Just use clothes washing powder or dishwashing liquid?
*
water based polish = tap water.
oil based polish / wax / sealant = dawn
