I'm an engineer specializing in backup softwares.
The thing is ...in this field you spend most of your time working at night instead of morning. This is because big companies can't afford to have a downtime in the morning. So the only downtime is mostly at night (eg: 10pm - onwards).

So the problem is, I'm not used to it and its getting very tired for me. Not to mention my time is messed up, working at night, sleep in the morning.

Anyone else doing this kind of field? Maybe can share your thoughts, or prolly some "SANE" advice.

Well there's nothing much that you can do since the nature of your job. After a while your body will get used to it and it will be better

yeah thats the benefits working at night but IF your body unable to take it i suggest you not to do it, our body regenerate during the night, and its hard to change. If do not feel well after few days, go to doctor and get advice, its serius case cause some ppl once sleep unable to wake up.

Most of the time work at night lah but not all the time.
But if work at night also will take very long, due to the fact that backup softwares, well backup is backup...it takes hours.
Sometimes reach back also 2am...then next day sleep zzz...

Anyone likes this kind of lifestyle?

If you are required to stay in this field i suggest you to take some DXN reishi capsules, made in malaysia high quality reishi to help adjust your body function and PM me if you interested! biggrin.gif

Okay, just kidding I wont buy you any pills if you really PM me. The idea is you should learn how to maintain your health. Heres some advises:

- eat lots of fibre, that means lots of vege, fruit, oats, brown rice etc.
- eat lots of FRESH vege or fruits, that means uncooked and eat like salad, it should be more then 50% of your daily meal. You see, fresh stuff contain lots of enzymes, and enzymes help you to digest and you can absord the nutrient better.
- advoid oily stuff or fried stuff AT ALL COST, you sleep late, by chinese definition, this cause liver heat. And oily fried stuff cause even more heat which will eventually damage your liver. Recommend steam or boil your food.
- take as little meat as possible, mean cause your body become acid, and sleep late cause acid body as well.
- eat sweet potato everyday biggrin.gif it contain lots of fibre and vitamins as well as easy to digest energy. Steam it or cook it into sweet potato tong sui.
- stop eating white rice, eat brown rice instead.

Thats about it! You will feel good in no time!

Night workers should take extra care of your health.

Last time i worked ROTATING shift for 1 year. Meaning 2 days morning, 2 days afternoon & 2 days night. This is even worse than permanent night shift !

There is a joke told by my colleague, the shift allowance you receive is all used up to maintain your health...lol

Correct !! I totally agree, you received more money but your health is dropping and directly affecting your life, if you got no choice, what to complain about, just make sure you know what are you doing, and need to be very sensitive about your body, dont cincai cincai, go get advice from doctor immediatly if you feel strange ie very tired but unable to sleep, etc.
