Whole BF2 community is angry at this..it's probably why the new patch has been delayed also. No official anouncement yet so who knows. If its true, its typical of EA with 2142 coming they don't just don't bother about their previous games.
I wouldn't call it the end of BF2 cause there are great mods like POE2 and FH2.
