End of BF2's Ranking System?

2:35pm <king0rism> The final BF2 patch release will be a new 1.4b patch, which will remove the log in screen function but as a small bonus will allow all bf2 players to have all unlock weapons ingame, hardly much reward for the hard work put in by the legions of let down bf2 fans.
This is hot news and hundreds of people in IRC are enraged.

No official anouncement yet so who knows. If its true, its typical of EA with 2142 coming they don't just don't bother about their previous games. I wouldn't call it the end of BF2 cause there are great mods like POE2 and FH2.  |

Yay, a reason to get back in. This rank rubbish, IMHO, really polarized the community. Too many people playing for scores, not for fun.

I am playing for fun and for score and ranking as well and also some stupid challenge like noobtubing people in one round with 25 kills (yeah, expert badge. Just got it!)  |

WTF!!? So all the time i spent to earn the badges are gonna go *poof*?? WTF IS THIS SHIET!
EA JUST SCAMMED ME OF RM107!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I also enjoyed unlocking the weapons accordingto my needs and then to suddenly get them all at one go but having my ranks and badges gone is SO NOT FAIRRRRRRRRRRR!!!

Well even I have unlocked all weapons but I still using plain vanilla all the time.
Without gamespy means you can using Petaling Street to play-liao?

This is no doubt VERY stupid for EA to do such thing.
Do you know how much damage such move could inflict to their bad remarks riddled reputation?
Especially when they are gearing up for the release of 2142.
After all,the rankings are one of the main highlights of BF2,and the feature has been frequently boasted by EA themselves.

This is BS. So much money have been spent and time consume to be taken away just like that? All the booster pack and patches that we all dl all for nothing? OMG this suck big time. I hope the EA/DICE president/ceo/etc gonna get hit by artillery.

Don't worry....the latest on this is thing, its just a rumor made by someone is who pissed of at EA and has too much time in his hand. So there is nothing to worry about, EA will support BF2 until they feel there is no point of supporting it. |
