Replace your gems... Int type chars don't really benefit from AR seeing main stat already has this intrinsic trait. Go either Ruby or Emerald (STR/DEX gives armor, and it's what INT class should stack more). As for gem on helm, go either Topaz or Diamond, but leaning closer to the latter since Wiz has several cooldown-based skills.

Reroll your amulets/rings for a socket to use legendary gems. The damage will be better in the long-run.

Since you're going channeling, I really would suggest going Tal's. You'll effectively do more damage and gain more defensiveness. Just have to figure out how to maintain it at 4 stacks (e.g. swap Meteor for another skill with Lightning and/or Arcane, as Tal's set will just bombard targets with 4 meteors of different elements).

As a general rule of the thumb, you should always prioritize offensive stats on gear (e.g. CHC, CHD, CDR), while defensive stats on specific parts such as chest armor and helm (e.g. main stat, VIT, Armor).

I would seriously suggest to swap sets. FB is one of the weakest set out of the rest for Wizzies.

amu/rings, chii now working on those legendary gems...only ran like 2-3 GRs only, now at GR35 only.

Tal's not easy to get, so far only got 1 piece of it, but my non-seasonal got like 4 pcs of it.

AR not good for defense ? because if chii don't put AR, later the elite touch me, chii dies.

now my actual main damage dealer with this built is arcane orb + meteor, laser just to kill whites

btw if anyone can explain how the 6 pc FB +200% damage works, it would be great.

Topaz, for now is okay, as it provides not only AR, it increases your damage. But as you get higher in Paragon Level and start augmenting your Ancient gear, swap it out for Ruby/Emerald for extra armor.

Take your time with the legendary gems, but yes, they'll be a whole lot more useful eventually.

AR, like I've mentioned, is an intrinsic trait for INT-type classes. Just by boosting INT, you already get AR. Instead, they should always focus on getting Armor for defensiveness instead.

With Tal's, you just need to rotate between 2 skills. At first, you'd have to cast 4 different elements to get your 6-piece bonus stack up, then alternate between 2 different elemental skills for the bonus to stay at 4.

The 6-piece bonus for FB is basically an amplified version of your current FB burning/damage bonus effect. Whenever you manage to apply the burning effect on an elite, you get 200% bonus to all damage. In short, burst damage happens when there's an Elite nearby that is burning.

thanks for the fast reply. FB explanation really good, no wonder sometimes my laser goes to 200mil suddenly. but elites die to chii in 10 secs, except those fast stunning ones which make chii run 10 secs instead in T8.

any explanation on ancient items ? how to get them ? need certain torment lvl ? augment means using the cube ?
before chii gets burned here, chii did read up but still did not quite understand about primals or ancients.

Ancient items are basically legendary items that have 30% more stats rolled on them, and drop on any difficulty. All legendary drops have 10% chance of it rolling as an Ancient. The only reason anyone farms at any Torment difficulties is because set items only drop at Torment (except for Blackthornes, the most useless set drop anywhere).

Primals are basically Ancients that always roll at its maximum range e.g. legendary source rolls 626 - 750 int, ancient legendary source rolls 813 - 1000 int, primal source will always be 1000 int.

Primals get unlocked when a character of that game mode has completed GR 70 solo (by game mode; normal, Seasonal normal, hardcore, Seasonal hardcore). It will unlock for any characters of that mode, but the chance of getting a Primal is low.

You can learn more about augments from the last page of the Kanai's Cube power/functions in-game. Basically, it adds more stats (choice between the 3 main stats and vitality) to your gear.

You have got most of the gears for meteor build.

1) Unity ring on you and your follower. It will boost up your toughness. You don't need to run any more.
2) Grand Vizier in your cube (a must to boost up the damage of your meteor)
3) Magic Weapon (ignite) + arcane torrent (flame ward) + meteor (meteor shower)
4) Where are your legendary gems? Bane of trapped + bane of stricken + taeguk

Pew pew pew only deliver puny damage.
You need huge damage skills to 1-shot mobs at high R/GRs (i.e. archon, meteor etc).

If you really want to deal some serious damage, I'd suggest Tal's as mentioned before. You've already pretty much covered most of your other parts that support Meteor, just need to get that set and the remaining supporting pieces and you can just move from place to place as you melt stuff with them meatballs from the sky.

yesterday chii tested delshere's set, not useful....the arcane orb damage can reach 2B only inside the time field.
maybe my weapon suck though.

Wizard isn't my first class and thus I can't give you a more in-depth suggestion, but DMO is definitely not a GR pushing set, though it is a fun set to play with.

sorry Master ALeUNe, pewpewpew is weak, it lacks hatred, lacks imba, lacks of everything.

meteor is the holy grail, 450 billion damage per hit.

but still feels off using meteor, like to use pewpewpew but alas the mind is weaker than the flesh.

chii stops to pewpewpew in GR 65, then 1-2 projectile hit chii.
