Manchester United and Real Madrid have finally agreed a fee for Angel Di Maria's pending move to Old Trafford, sources in Spain have told ESPN FC.

The English side will pay 75 million euros upfront, with up to 15 million euros of add-ons and incentives attached, split into three potential payments of five million euros.

ESPN FC was informed by the Spanish sources that, with the way the deal would be structured, United will most likely end up paying 80 million euros for the 26-year-old.

If I'm BR, I wouldn't incept this kinda mentality into my players. Yes, players shouldn't dwell too much on the loss and move forward, but I hope the players feel angry with themselves for losing such a great opportunity to pull away from the rest and use this to fuel the fire in them. If they can accept this loss, I bet BR and his boys will show the same level of acceptance against the other big teams and complacency will start creeping in gradually.

Furthermore, losing against our rival contenders means we have extra pressure to beat the smaller teams. And if we drop points against smaller teams, slowly but surely our dream of becoming EPL champions will once again end up in smoke. Next year again maybe.

Bottom line, home or away, it's not acceptable to be beaten by Man City who is not even playing at their best. Lots of work to be done.

It's only natural for a team to aim for championship, having finished second in the previous season, let alone nearly win the league if it wasn't for the blips in the last few games.

But judging from your statement, you are implying last year's achievement was a fluke to you, either that you don't have confidence in BR or his team. I think its the latter. Let us all drop our expectations on BR so that when he fails to achieve the holy grail (which he is hired for ), you can continue to find excuses and positives on this team to make yourself feel better on Monday morning, shall we?

I think you are swaying away from the crux of the discussion. The point I'm highlighting here is that we are taking the loss against City very lightly. For us, as the fans, I'm not bothered that much as each of us has our own expectations, but I'm more concerned if BR and the players have the same inferior feeling against the other rich powerhouse teams.

We are not taking the game to their neck as opposed to what we have seen last season in Etihad. We are missing the energy and the drive to get the 3 points while City beat us with relative ease. Same old Jeckyll and Hyde performance. And the defense...the less said is better. If this is not a cause of concern to you, then you probably have a lower expectation than mine.

I agree with you there are phases we must go through to achieve our ultimate ambition. Now that we know we can play football (with Suarez), we were giving the big boys a run for their money, and we are in CL,  why must we drop the momentum and fall back to our comfort zone again and worrying thing is, we are starting to adopt "everything is OK" attitude instead of building on it?

How do you expect Liverpool players to protect the CL spot, let alone winning the EPL with this kinda mentality?
