QUOTE(Cloud0890 @ Sep 19 2014, 06:20 PM) West Ham United v Liverpool Interesting facts and figsThere have been four own goals scored in the last seven Premier League meetings between Liverpool and West Ham. Steven Gerrard has scored seven Premier League goals against West Ham and six of them have been netted at the Boleyn Ground. Liverpool have won eight and lost just one of the last 11 Premier League meetings with the Hammers (D2). There have been five goals in the five minutes leading up to half time of the last five Premier League matches between Liverpool and West Ham. West Ham's starting XI versus Hull City in their last match had an average age of 26y 355d - their youngest in the Premier League since May 2011. Since the start of last season, the only English player to create more goalscoring chances in the Premier League than Stewart Downing (75) is Steven Gerrard (78). If Liverpool score in this game they will set a new club top-flight record of scoring in 17 consecutive away games. Liverpool have scored 33 goals in their last 11 Premier League away games. Mario Balotelli has scored just one goal in his last 18 Premier League appearances. West Ham have scored four goals from outside the box this season, matching their total from 2013-14. |

QUOTE(AnythingK @ Sep 21 2014, 02:30 AM) Its hurt to admit this, but hell yea truth does hurts. Looks like we overachieved.Last season we truly overachieve, by the reason of 1. Unbelievable form of SaS. 2. We got only 1 competition to play. 3. Extremely lucky I guess, receive bunch of soft penalty. 4. Scum managed by Moyes. Expectations top 4. 3rd or 4th. |

QUOTE(eymc @ Sep 21 2014, 01:16 PM) hahaha...where is al the "pre season" rilex's and chill factor? Stevie was never a DM. More like a CM. DMs are Lucas Masch. From where I see...Stevie is still usefull as a number 10!! I never believe he is DM from day one...but because last years purple patch...he got super distinction is this position because of our results. If Coutinho no need to track back being number number 10, I don't see why stevie cannot play there? But with stevie everybody wants him to do all the great work and dirty work! But with coutinho its only creative stuffs and don't worry about dirty work!! not fair isn't it? If Stevie is no 10 ... Then Hendo and Allen or Lucas will be able to play at their ease and best with out the covering job!! Stevie's assit I dare to confirm will be better then coutinho anytime!! coutinho...will never be consistent period!! if he is so godlike, like what we say said he is...inter won't part with him...he don't even start at inter for god sake. Our defence...will never be solid with our current personnel's. Sakho to me is a time bomb..aka David James!! CALAMITY !!! We really need a Hamann or Masch to tidy our defense!! Song was awesome yesterday...did what a DESTROYER does!! Cleans everything up in front of the defense!! I guess we missed signing him!! With this form and morale!! Everton will have a dvd production ready now for next week!! Cout cant start for Inter. Neither could STURRIDGE for Cheski and MancsC. Thats not the way to judge.' IMO Cout needs runners up front for his magic to work. Last year we had S.S and S upfornt for him to pick a pass. Balo is NOT a runner. |

QUOTE(kakashi44 @ Sep 21 2014, 01:31 PM) Qualify or failed to qualify, we also could not attract top player. Last season, when we failed to qualify CL we always heard that we did not qualify to CL and no top player want to join us. This season when we qualify CL, we heard that top player don't want to join us because they prefer RM, Barcelona, Bayern and etc THAT's football life. We arent owned by oil shieks and mafias, Live with it. |

QUOTE(AnythingK @ Sep 21 2014, 02:22 PM) Come one, many players choose money, BR spent over 100million, he could use those amount to buy quality, yet its either Liverpool or BR philosophy of buy young talent. Even Wenger learned his lesson and splash cash on Ozil & Sanchez. TBF Rodgers needed to enlarge his squad becasue of the CL. Indeed he did try to buy Snachez. So cant say he didnt try to buy quality.Although we not owned by oil tycoon, but the amount of Suarez sales, and BR's initial funds is not less than oil tycoon can offer. However questiions are beg for the following: a) why buy another CB? b) the prices for LLalana . Lovren and Lazar amy be over the top c) lost the best striker he had, But the lack of effort in replacing him is weird while he spent so much effort to get another CB This post has been edited by prophetjul: Sep 21 2014, 03:42 PM |

QUOTE(cherroy @ Sep 21 2014, 04:24 PM) Actually, CL is not priority, league is. So buy over quality is more important than quantity, fill with youngster in CL and being hammered also no harm. Then you are no Liverpool supporter.Large average squad vs Small quality squad + inexperienced. The latter part seems a better deal. b) Ya, could go for Di Maria or Falcao already with those money. With Skrtel, Sakho, Agger previously, CB is decent although it may not top notch. Clearly, it is not personnel issue, Skrtel Agger pairing was one of best around and having good defence record before. Even splash 20M or 30M for a CB won't result in clean sheet as shown in recent few matches. Liv has been leaking goals since last year, just offensive side save the day a lot of time. I always mention clean sheet, tight defence is very important to persuade well in league, and in cup as well, as you can't always rely on offensive to save the day of defence. You need to know how to win 1-0 and shut the door. I think opponent has started learn how Liv played, and easily nullify the threat of it. The CL is as important as the PL. Both as image and soul plus the lure of CL $$$$$$$. CL nights are to be experienced as Chelski would tell ya. Not as easy to say play defensive and go for 1-0. Thats provided you have to personnel to do the 1-0s Saying it is easy. Getting 10 players to carry out such tactics is much much more difficult! |

QUOTE(cherroy @ Sep 21 2014, 04:39 PM) Chelsea bought Fabregas + Costa, instantly the team look different compared to last year, title hot favourite. Ozil was an early season wonder. Nothing towards the 2nd half. Ramsey won Arsenal the CL spot.Arsenal bought Ozil, team sentiment change, qualified for CL. Man U, bought Di Maria, Falcao, suddenly team morale change and favourite for 4th. Liv loss Suarez and bought 3 Southampton players with about nearly 50 mil... It may be better to spend 50 mil on one player, after all, 2 were sitting on the bench in recent matches only. ManU has already qualified? Spend 50mil on one player while your budget is 100mil? Godd thing you aint the manager! |

QUOTE(AnythingK @ Sep 21 2014, 05:13 PM) Agree with you on those doubt. i think Lambert was to replace Borini.Players like Moreno & Manquillo is needed because of the injury of both Enrique & Flanno. But I don't see the need of Can, Lovren, Lambert, and both Lallana & Markovic, he could just get 1 of them. Indeed Lallana, Lovren & Markovic is overpriced, none of them worth the money so far. Seriously, I don't see the need of Lovren, we could just use Agger, atm their ability is on par, so why buy him with 20million? Skrtel, Agger, Sakho, Toure..aren't we have enough CB? IMO, the money spent on Lovren, Markovic or Lallana, and Lambert or Can, could just combine and buy 1 proven top class player instead. Suarez leave the club in good term, and he leave plenty of times for BR to replace him. What bother me is BR took forever to properly replace Suarez, even Balotelli is not his first target, he eventually go for Balotelli when other deal fell through. Can was required because Lucas and Stevie arent shwoing up as good DMs. Stevie is not getting younger. We have to get a succeessor. Lazar? Dont know him. i guess BR was after Shaqiri but........... Like i said. Their objective was expand the squad. But the prices are questionable |
