Again I don't buy this, new players need time to gel, new environment, need to adapt etc. 

You don't pay top money 20~30 mil to buy a player, ten of thousand per week, then give the reason, they need time to gel and cannot adapt the new environment.

If they are youngster or come with relative cheap price tag and lower wages, may be justified.
 
Eg. you are running a company and hiring employee.
If hiring a fresh graduate with 2k per month wages, ok they are new, need time to adapt and learn, can't expect too much, fair enough.

But if you are hiring a experienced employee that draw 20k per month wages, you still expect they need time to learn and adapt when coming?
You only pay top money to an employee, if you expect them to contribute straight away when coming.

From last night's game, Mario is definitely not a lone striker. He doesn't make those runs which then makes all 3 Lallana, Coutinho, and Sterling less effective. He's fantastic at holding the ball and pressuring but I don't see him as the guy at the end of Coutinho's through ball.

I hope he will start with either Rickie or Borini until Sturridge recovers.
