Hmm...installed my Vista RC1 today. Greeted by a BSOD when installing ATI RC1 driver for the first time. Restart and reinstalled successfully. Move on to install Alcohol 120%. Again a BSOD. Didnt try to install again.

Foobar v0.9.3.1, WinRAR 3.6, BitComet 0.63, Office 11, Windows Live Messenger so far no problem. However can't seem to get ACDSee 7 to work. Sygate Firewall not working. Got some codec issues with WMP 11 after installing the K-Lite Codec 2.76.

Will do further testing later on. For now I will say that I'm quite ok with it. Hard disk space consumption is quite high, more than 10GB gone for a fresh installation. Seems like Vista set page file to about 2GB+ by default.

Hmm...then have to wait for awhile. Anyway I manually configure the virtual memory since I got a dedicated hard disk for page file purpose.

However no matter what I set, the partition where I installed Vista will always use the page file available for that particular partition only. It can't seem to recognise my manually set page file. The reported space allocated for virtual memory will always be what I set for the Vista partition, without including what I set in my dedicated hard disk. You guys have problem with this?

yeah, me too. also no matter where you install it, Vista will always makes that drive C:
This was very frustrating for my roomate as he usually installs it in D: and it makes all his shortcut and playlist redundant tongue.gif

Haha..pity your friend then. I installed on my previous Win XP partition so no problem for me. If things keep on like this, I'm going to revert back to XP soon. My favourite ACDSee and Alcohol can't seem to work on Vista at the moment.

Anyone can confirm if the key for RC1 can be used for RC2 also? Not many people have tried this RC2 so can't get much info on the net.
