QUOTE(narutard216 @ Dec 2 2014, 12:39 PM) Hi. I have several questions regarding the pg-9023. I plan on using this on the lg g3 due to the form factor. Would you recommend this over the pg-9025 and why? How's portability with the pg-9023 vs pg-9025? Are there any other game pads that look like the pg-9023 for smartphones, like the phonejoy but cheaper? Thank you and sorry for all the questions Hi, Both the 9023 and 9025 are very good gaming companions. The 9025 is smaller than the 9023, so you can say the 9025 is more portable. The 9023 was designed for larger phones and tablets from the start, and hence larger in size. It can be extended to hold devices up to 280mm and has both a spring and locking mechanism to hold your device firmly in place. The 9023 holds your device centrally, just like the Phonejoy, as opposed to the 9025 which holds your device on top. But I don't have a controller as small as the Phonejoy that holds a phone centrally. Both 9025 and 9023 are compatible with your G3. PM me if you want one. PG-9023: Unsupported deviceThis is a device found to be UNSUPPORTED by the 9023. LENOVO IDEATAB A3000-H. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Though the official Malaysian Lenovo shop lists the A3000 as using either MT8389 or MT8125, I believe the unit I've tested is the MT8389 variant. The 9023 pairs and connects with the tablet but after that there's NO response at all. Joystick, D-pad and ABXY buttons don't work. I couldn't even adjust the tablet's volume using the 9023. PG-9023: Newly discovered supported device» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « First, a disclaimer: I haven't personally tested the below device. All info is based on buyer's input. Recently I sold a 9023 to a buyer. One of his device happens to be a Honor 6 by Huawei. This device uses one of the rarer Hisilicon Kirin 920 chipset. According to buyer, everything worked well. He has PPSSPP installed. I would assume pairing and connecting to the Honor 6 was a success, so was mapping the controls within PPSSPP

PG-9023: Newly discovered supported deviceHere is buyer who play games on a Microsoft Surface Pro. The Surface Pro is quite a large device with a 10.6" full HD screen and runs Windows 8. Pairing and connecting the 9023 with the Surface Pro was easy and smooth. x360ce or Xbox 360 Controller Emulator is required to setup the 9023 so it must be pre-installed. After mapping all the required controls, we may now begin our game. The buyer tested with Far Cry 3. A big thanks to the buyer for sharing the photo below.
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « The 9023 cannot hold the Surface Pro but the resourceful buyer made some modifications to fit the Surface Pro in. Good job! This post has been edited by nigtra: Dec 5 2014, 10:55 PM

PG-9023: Game support on iOSI got asked a lot which games are supported on iOS with the 9023 but couldn't find an official game list which support controllers either from Apple nor from game publishers. Here's an unofficial list on reddit. Here's another from pocketgamer. Yet another one here from afterpad. All refs above point to one common thing: MFi. "MF" is Made For. "i" stands for iPhone, iPad, iPod or iDevices in general. If you don't see your game listed above, try to find out if the game has support for MFi. There's a very high chance the 9023 will support that game. These are the sites I always turn to for info on portable gaming, jb and iOS in general. - http://www.pocketgamer.co.uk/- http://www.idownloadblog.com/- http://afterpad.com/- a few related pages on http://lifehacker.com/This post has been edited by nigtra: Jan 4 2015, 03:27 PM

Ladies and gentlemen, I just found out the official Modern Combat 5: Blackout is available now for only rm3.50 on Google Play. I don't know if this is old news or when the offer is going to end but just thought I'd share this with everyone reading this post. There's no longer a need to go the 'unofficial' route now to get the highly popular MC5!!! I'm buying mine as I write this post☺☺☺

PG-9023: New device supported. The last time I tested an Alcatel Onetouch Flash (6042D) was with the 9021. This time I tested it with a 9023 and connected them in both X-Home and A-Home modes. Both modes worked perfectly including the Volume and Track controls FYI, the Onetouch flash uses a Mediatek chipset(MT6592M).

PG-9023: New device supportedJust now managed to test the 9023 with a Huawei Mediapad X1. This is a 7 inch, 1920*1200 resolution android tablet with the Kirin 910 chipset from Hisilicon. Everything went smoothly. Even the media controls were useable. Now we know, besides the Kirin 925, the 910 is also compatible

IPEGA PG-9023: Unsupported game
Last year about this time, I tested NOVA 3 or, its full name, N.O.V.A. 3 - Near Orbit Vanguard Alliance. This game was playable although root access was required.
When I found out about a new version, and its free, I quickly downloaded and tested it with a 9023. This new version is called N.O.V.A. 3: Freedom Edition. Note that they are not using a hyphen after the 3 as in the original title, but a colon instead. Nitpicking aside, I realized the Freedom Edition CANNOT be played with a 9023. I tried both the X-Home and Y-Home modes to no success. Besides being ad supported, the Freedom Edition does indeed have this crucial difference from the paid version when it comes to gaming with an iPega. For those of you looking to play NOVA 3 with an iPega, you'll have better luck with the paid version.

Recently got a chance to test with the brand new and highly popular Asus Zenfone 2. The model tested was the 4GB ram model. Pairing the ZF2 and 9023 was smooth. The media controls were all working, just like the older zenfone models(4, 5 and 6). The buyer had FIFA15 and Modern Combat 5 installed. Due to network issues we weren't able to test FIFA15. However MC5 worked well Here's an image of the 9023 connected to the ZF2.
Big thanks to the buyer for his permission for the image This post has been edited by nigtra: May 29 2015, 12:16 PM

Recently got to test a buyer's Levono Tab S8 tablet.
This particular model was S8-50CL. It was a decent, mid sized 2014 tablet; runs on Intel Atom Z3745, had a 1900x1200 IPS screen, calling capabilities and priced attractively at RM699 too. Pairing and connecting the 9023 with the S8 was trouble free. In fact I re-paired a few times just to show the buyer how its done properly. Each time they got paired and connected right away Proceeded to test by trying out the media controls and also the d-pad. All was working well. The buyer had just gotten the tablet and immediately installed a few games. Among them were Real Racing 3 but unfortunately he didn't try out the game before coming over; there were about 579mb of data to be downloaded before we can start the game. So we weren't able to test an actual game on that day. However, 2 days later he informed me that RR3 was indeed playable

QUOTE(ajdeneka @ Sep 18 2015, 01:15 AM) Hi. I am interested in this gamepad also for Microsoft Surface Pro. Can you please tell me what exactly needs to be modified in order to fit mentioned tablet? (except for software modifications) Thanks! If my memory serve me right I remember it was a very tight fit with the Surface Pro - almost like there's no space left. The 9023 can barely hold the Surface Pro. The photo was sent to me after the buyer made some mods but I didn't ask exactly what he did. However there's a method that I came across earlier on about fitting a large phone on a 9017. The user drilled some holes to relocate the screws on the 9017's phone holder so that it can be further stretched to accommodate the phone.
