EDIT: any1 tht just got their OPO china version phone from dd, teramac, dialog hub etc, i recommend u to use @lowyard fastboot method to flash clean ur phone with cm11s cause some of the seller using recovery mode to flash it and this sometimes giving u bugs tht u want to avoid (i face this problem myself and i read it at the other forums that a lot of people facing the same problem and this is why https://cyngn.com/products/oneplusone/ only provide fastboot and debuggable download)

That is just flash to CM11s. Root has nothing to do in that post.
The only changes you make is you unlock your bootloader.

Please be more specific when describing your error, example like where it occur, after which step you performed when the error occur, describe exactly the error message, and etcetc.

bro. use dolphin browser instead of chrome. much much faster and can still sync it with ur pc browser
dont worry, i also migrated from ios a month ago. if u are familiar with jailbreaking, rooting on android is almost the same concept, and u'll learn fast.

btw, ure already on CM11s. hence no need to re-install (in android they call it flash) the ROM (read as an Operating System). but, it is always advisable to re-flash the device urself if u purchased it from a local seller, as they are prone to make a few mistakes flashing CM11s and there are already several cases whereby users complained that they didnt receive OTA or Over the Air upgrades.
