QUOTE(kianweic @ Sep 10 2014, 05:28 PM) Interesting article: Half of PC gamers wait for sales to buy - Survey Thats true unfortunately.I do wait for sales most of the time. Most games arent worth preordering these days. Still kinda tempted to pre-order Civ BE though. |

QUOTE(diehard1979 @ Sep 10 2014, 09:20 PM) Now outsider really want to group our country as china? I dont know what happen but it seemed like a ROW key might not work everywhere now. Just be careful and hope you dont have to go through the same shit.Maybe they see our gov say want to learn from china that block facebook, block this block that, they though our country "learn from east" mean learn from china? Its Valve, they never lay out the rules or condition. When shit like this happen, no one knows how to deal with it. |

QUOTE(diehard1979 @ Sep 10 2014, 09:20 PM) Now outsider really want to group our country as china? china didn't block facebook, it's mass media governing, the government gives out contract for the companies to bid forMaybe they see our gov say want to learn from china that block facebook, block this block that, they though our country "learn from east" mean learn from china? in other words, the people are forced to use the service from tencent and etc etc; while these companies earn their money from all the advertisement and the memberships system, the government also gains money, through several channels unlike china malaysia doesnt have that sort of power, or rather, do you expect skmm to be that generous to fork out so much money? ( it requires a lot of money to initiate these projects, and look at our "official" sites, it takes only a few minutes to be overwritten by the "dragons" ) |

QUOTE(yiporan @ Sep 10 2014, 09:25 PM) ROW is keys meant for Rest of the World. It is suppose to be region free copies that is activatable and playable in anywhere in the world. You cannot activate a Russian key outside Russia but you can activate a ROW key anywhere in the world. Also, if you buy Steam games from stores, which has zero region lock, the games are commonly listed as ROW if it is listed. Sometimes it is listed as WW or Retail. QUOTE(alex82 @ Sep 10 2014, 10:31 PM) yiporan said is true, depend on the game you are buying CoH2 has no censored version so why ROW key doesnt work? And China does not censor or ban CoH2 as far as I know. Nor CoH2 has a special chinese version.here a example http://steamcommunity.com/app/213670/discu...749191422528698 If Valve want to make buying games on Steam that complicated, I am going back to piracy. |

I don't think it will be much of a problem. GMG and Humble Bundle usually sell ROW keys. Even if the game for some reason region lock in our country, if we activate a ROW keys, it will be just fine. If we get cheap games, probably region lock. That is on Steam only though. Most of the new games are region lock anyway now. But still retailers do get ROW keys, so it's not gonna be a big issue. |

Still kinda tempted to pre-order Civ BE though. Other than that, I will get GTA5. There is no urgency for the rest from my perspective. |
